NOT JUST ANOTHER DOG STRIP…
Will, a street-wise pit bull, has found himself living in a concrete cell with a large lovable half-wit Husky and a Chihuahua hypochondriac. Join these three motley mutts and the rest of the colorful cast of inmates as they try to maintain their sanity in the west wing of a sprawling animal shelter.
Whether reenacting "Saving Private Ryan" in a snowball fight, enjoying "Fun with Shock Collars Friday" or working on their ongoing wall tunneling project, stolen directly from "Shawshank Redemption", this dysfunctional four-legged family shows us that life in lockdown can be cruel, harsh and usually hilarious!

Never mind that the four breeds called “pit bulls” in the U.S. were originally bred for combat…

More making stuff up, eh? According to my research (not exhaustive, but not making stuff up, either), the breeds now known as “pit bulls” were originally bred as working dogs, not combat dogs.

Yeah … but what was the “work” ? Biting peoples’ legs off ?

Pit bulls were actually originally bred in the USA for hunting semi-wild game (Range cattle and hogs), not for combat. And wiener dogs were originally bred to hunt badgers. GSD’s were bred to guard sheep. Regardless, aside from beagles, retrievers and labs, few dogs today are still used for what they were originally bred for…
I don’t own a pit bull, but not for fear of the dog; rather for fear that I’d be labeled a douche for owning such a dog, people thinking that only thugs would want to own these dogs. Oh well, maybe some day the Pit bull will join the ranks of the GSD and doberman on the list of “Dogs people once had an irrational fear of”. Unfirtunately the only way to get off this list is for another breed to take its place. Maybe labs next time? Great Danes? Mastiffs?

As a coonhound and foxhound rescuer I can tell you that most such hounds are still used for what they were bred to do. If they’re not hunting coon or fox, they’re being used to hunt bear or coyote.
Note to anit-hunters reading this. I’m a hound rescuer, not a hunter.

You people are all crazy … they were bred to find the best BBQ pits with brisket . . . IE: pit bull

I like how you think and most of the ‘bullies’ I know would fit that description very well.

Then stop dressing like one! Simple!

We now have our second pit mix, a 90-pounder. Like the first, he is a passive sweetheart; we should have named him Eeyore. Our female Australian Shepherd is the alpha, and the little MinPin and the five pound cat abuse the pit mercilessly. Our pit serves a purpose – for strangers – by merely standing and staring. The only time we hear his basso bark is when deer enter the yard, and he tries to tell them he wants to play.

Those IDIOTS, who train the Pits to to fight and be aggressive are the ones perpetuating the lie that this breed is dangerous! This sort needs to be sent to a maximum security prison for a LONG time! Not just a short “time away”
like Michael Vic.

So tired of people blaming the dogs. Every Pit I’ve ever encountered is the same as any other breed…it’s all about the owner, handling and how they’re raised. My teacup Chi and I encountered a group of 4 Pits at the vets office. Not a vicious/attack bone in any of their bodies!!

too bad so many people have made these dogs have to fight. I was working on the census and one gurgled at me. It was like a growl but it was also a gurgle. I have met really nice ones. I found an old picture of my dad standing near their dugout and he had a American bull dog. He was 2 or 3 years old.
