Dogs do not eat their food so much as inhale it.

Very true in the case of our newest dog. My big dog chewed every morsel, savoring it until it was gone.

Then the cat will turn, make the burrying it motion, walk away.

Well, now…this explains why my little terrier won’t eat a lot of what I put down for him…he’s part cat!

(When offered roast beef or chicken, he still refuses. Never had a dog that would refuse good meat, but, then again, I never had a dog/cat crossbreed!)

My dogs have always been grazers. They eat anything, but at their own pace.

Had a dog that ate goose poop, but he was picky about it, had too be aged just right. Same with the dead salmon on the river, too fresh -no good.
One of the terriers I have now eats just about anything but that’s how she survived until our paths crossed.

When I picked out my dog at the Humane Society, his dog food was all over the floor. I didn’t think too much about it. When I got him home I watched him flip his bowl over. He does it every day. Sometimes the food goes all over and sometimes it all stays inside the bowl. He gets really frustrated when the latter happens.

My dog flips the bowl so she can eat one piece of kibble at a time. My cat won’t touch canned cat food. Never had a cat like that before!
