Yup. Despite the vegans at the college I went to having leather shoes and belts (and using drugs), they supposedly wouldn’t eat anything animal-based. Given their other habits, I wouldn’t make any bets on whether they kept to that or not.

Toenails wouldn’t qualify as vegan.
Now, I’m not a vegan or even a vegetarian, but I have nothing against them. My niece is a vegan but cooks some of the best food. Nobody even notices the lack of animal product.
