I continue to wonder how they first get the saw through the table to make the cut? Its never worked for me when I try it.

The saw should have ‘ACME’ on it.

Doing a “Plunge Cut” DOES require practice, usually I do it towards the middle of the ‘hole’ and then move out to the “Straight Edge” sweeping curves to reduce ‘binding’ of the blade.

The Kitties must be pretty good to manage it without thumbs and the added leverage they provide.

I think the exclamation marks are the parents statement of “Get away from that food”. Since neither Doug nor Sophie could get away with the food because the parents can see them, the cats used a different approach.

As Doug then Sophie tried to help themselves to a snack. before there was a blade making a cut around the bowl as the felines made the cut with a reciprocating saw then helped themselves to the snack before they polished off the bowl as they shared.
