Babies and puppies are both quite cute, but underneath the soft, cuddly exteriors lie the fearsome hearts of competitors. Well, not really. When a new baby joins the household, Sophie the dog is initially irritated, but eventually comes to see the baby, Doug, as the asset he is: a better way to get snacks. Though the baby is still hogging precious attention, and has a tendency to pull ears and be a general nuisance, a begrudging friendship forms between the two rivals. Watch the mischief unfold in Brian Anderson’s Dog Eat Doug.

I agree fully. Missed my Sophie girl! My dogs and cats do the same. Make tons of noise while we are resting then when we make noise and it bothers them the eyes they give us are so serious. Gotta love them!

Every day we read this strip, I wonder if you actually have a camera set up in our house. The only difference is our Sophie is named Katie.

My two kitties do the same when it’s mealtime but I haven’t set out the food yet. They let me know by doing the Sophie thing and then staring me in the eye …. Love it.

Our Half-Time does this daily. And in the last panel, Sophie’s face and cat-itude is so … well … cat like.
Great way to start Sunday, Brian.

I was watching tv yesterday and I heard about TOXOPLASMOSIS. it’s carried by cats.
They say it’s getting to the sea otters by flushing cat litter. humans get it too:
“Recent research has also linked toxoplasmosis with brain cancer, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Schizophrenia.”

We encourage crazy time before bedtime
With 5 cats and a dog, it’s best if everyone is good and worn out at the same time

I agree with “nice to see Sophie in the spotlight again.” This is so true of people also. Most people that make a lot of noise are not respectful of others. Maybe this strip with give them a hint or two. We need more of Sophie “the philospher.”

That’s true enough. I wonder if you’re getting the irony…

it is informative, period. that is all I meant it to be. if you read the box some call i"flushable".. " idiot"
why do u have to be insulting?
this thread is getting to be a litter box.
I’m sick of the hostility here.don’t bother to reply. good Bye

There’s a new kitty litter www.worldsbestcatlitter.com/ that’s flushable.

@Marsia
there is also the catgenie. It is designed to flush away the cat feces. And I also am quite upset how one person can sling sticks and stones so effortlessly. Do believe I will be flagging him/her whenever I see them.
