   I didn’t get it until someone clued me in to the fact that the kitties were wearing Dougie’s diapers (I think). Then the “smooth” line makes sense.

    Sophie’s right there in Panels 1-3…can’t u see her? Doug is clearly unclothed and shy about it…or would you complain if he wasn’t wearing pants and Brian drew him like that? Yeesh!!!!!!!

    I think the cats made off with Doug’s diaper, he yelled, and now the cats, who are stuck in the diaper, are commenting on the state of Doug’s bottom.

    I don’t think they are caught in Doug’s diaper (wrong color). Instead I think they are wearing his rubber diaper cover in tandem.
    Plus, I think Sophie’s going to enjoy the cats in the long run. No matter how crazy she may act, she will look totally sane when compared to these two felonious felines. They will get blamed for an awful lot in the future.
