Babies and puppies are both quite cute, but underneath the soft, cuddly exteriors lie the fearsome hearts of competitors. Well, not really. When a new baby joins the household, Sophie the dog is initially irritated, but eventually comes to see the baby, Doug, as the asset he is: a better way to get snacks. Though the baby is still hogging precious attention, and has a tendency to pull ears and be a general nuisance, a begrudging friendship forms between the two rivals. Watch the mischief unfold in Brian Anderson’s Dog Eat Doug.

I concur with your diagnosis!! Tranquilizers or Kitty valium will do wonders.

You beat me to that one. We already know Sophie and the Dad are Star Trek fans, so it’s likely that Mr. Anderson would know about L-space.

Once when moving about 250mi. away with my two cats, they too stopped yowling after about 3 hours…I think they just settled down to meet death which they were certain was imminent. You could see in in their faces. I laugh now, but it was horrible to drive with them at the time!

The first time we moved 1600 miles accross country and drove with our kitty for days, we tried the tranqs, and after the first laced treat she refused all treats. To this day she won’t eat the salmon treats. What made her calmest was at rest stops we’d let her out to sit on the pillow on my lap and she’s just curl up and stare at that EVIL outside world.

My cat Mua yowled until we got on the highway. Then he’d just “murp” as we say once in a while to make sure I knew he was still there. He was calm only on highways though. He hated city traffic.
