Babies and puppies are both quite cute, but underneath the soft, cuddly exteriors lie the fearsome hearts of competitors. Well, not really. When a new baby joins the household, Sophie the dog is initially irritated, but eventually comes to see the baby, Doug, as the asset he is: a better way to get snacks. Though the baby is still hogging precious attention, and has a tendency to pull ears and be a general nuisance, a begrudging friendship forms between the two rivals. Watch the mischief unfold in Brian Anderson’s Dog Eat Doug.

It’s baby food. You really don’t want to know more about the texture.

Trapped in a Tom Stoppard play? My that looks interesting.

Sophie has moved a few notches down on the mooch list.

Seems more like she’s trapped in a Chip and Dale cartoon.

@pschearer, not Chip and Dale. Considering how the cats are speaking, @detourjones has it right. They are related to Mac and Tosh, Chuck Jones’ very British and polite groundhogs.

So the kittens’ names are Rosencrantz and Guildenstern?

Almost makes me want to see a Tom Stoppard play again…almost.

Mack and Tosh,, say it quickly and you get Mackintosh a waterproof raincoat. Very British me thinks!

@listmom
That is what I would’ve picked. My son got to name them. Chewbacca and Equinox.

I was thinking of Calliope and Terpsichore or maybe Thalia and Clio. If one is a boy Zeus or Pan.

They’re cats…No matter what they’re named, they won’t come when you call them
