Babies and puppies are both quite cute, but underneath the soft, cuddly exteriors lie the fearsome hearts of competitors. Well, not really. When a new baby joins the household, Sophie the dog is initially irritated, but eventually comes to see the baby, Doug, as the asset he is: a better way to get snacks. Though the baby is still hogging precious attention, and has a tendency to pull ears and be a general nuisance, a begrudging friendship forms between the two rivals. Watch the mischief unfold in Brian Anderson’s Dog Eat Doug.

I get thus feeling that the kittens and Doug are gonna get along just fine. Mom and Dad might have a heart attack though.

As long as Sophie doesn’t get tempted to play chase the cats around the house, she’ll do fine….

Guess anyone who took offense at my cats-on-the-ceiling-fan suggestion a few days ago can laugh along with me now?

Cats increase the Chaos level in the home, and the more cats there are it rises exponentially
It’s a good chaos though, my wife and I are convinced we’ll live longer just for all the laughter

The cats, once settled in, will be the happy clowns that keep the adults happy, and Doug will have Sophie to himself. On the other hand I see a new couch and curtains in the future. They made the mistake of not installing a cat tree before the kittens came home.

This one I did not have to make up. Although the cats are outside most of the day so they are relatively calm when they come in.

See Sophie! Being good has it’s advantages, you don’t get hollered at!

@Brian Anderson
Does Sophie like to play tag with them? I once had a dog who did, but it was the cat chasing the dog around!

Sophie’s moment of being good allows her time to dream up mischief.

If that was a radio program, it would be even funnier!

I was just reminded of “Bringing Up Baby” and a few Nick & Nora movies. (no. Not that old. TCM channel)

Found out the hard way that kittens will think of plants as their own personal litter box. D’oh! Never had to take them off the ceiling fan though…
