Babies and puppies are both quite cute, but underneath the soft, cuddly exteriors lie the fearsome hearts of competitors. Well, not really. When a new baby joins the household, Sophie the dog is initially irritated, but eventually comes to see the baby, Doug, as the asset he is: a better way to get snacks. Though the baby is still hogging precious attention, and has a tendency to pull ears and be a general nuisance, a begrudging friendship forms between the two rivals. Watch the mischief unfold in Brian Anderson’s Dog Eat Doug.

He needs a pair of spurs to stop the momentum. Nothing cuter than a little tyke in a cowboy outfit.
When I played cowboy my name was always Rex.

Sons of the Pioneers’ song “Tumbling Tumbleweeds.”
I’m a roaming cowboy riding all day long,
Tumbleweeds around me sing their lonely song.
Nights underneath the prairie moon,
I ride along and sing this tune.
See them tumbling down
Pledging their love to the ground
Lonely but free I’ll be found
Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds.
Cares of the past are behind
Nowhere to go but I’ll find
Just where the trail will wind
Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds.
I know when night has gone
That a new world’s born at dawn.
I’ll keep rolling along
Deep in my heart is a song
Here on the range I belong
Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds.

The title character of the “Tumbleweeds” comic strip was named Tumbleweeds.
If you click on the link below, you will hear the song I posted above.

By the way, Leonard “Roy Rogers” Slye was the founding member of the Sons of the Pioneers cowboy singing group.

Joe Allen i remember that song from, an old black and white, I want to say John Wayne, movie?
And yes, Tumbleweeds was a great strip. Wish it was still around like Redeye! (Even though it’s Sunday repeats that stay up for a week, unti the next Sunday.)
