Babies and puppies are both quite cute, but underneath the soft, cuddly exteriors lie the fearsome hearts of competitors. Well, not really. When a new baby joins the household, Sophie the dog is initially irritated, but eventually comes to see the baby, Doug, as the asset he is: a better way to get snacks. Though the baby is still hogging precious attention, and has a tendency to pull ears and be a general nuisance, a begrudging friendship forms between the two rivals. Watch the mischief unfold in Brian Anderson’s Dog Eat Doug.

I go through something like this every day.
My cat Boots is very smart and creative, gets into everything.
Had cats all my life, and I’m still learning new lessons in catproofing from him.

Doug’s father needs to set up video cameras all over the house to catch Sophie in the act of being destructive.
He would have to have his wife take Doug and the dog somewhere while the cameras were set up.
One can buy video cameras hidden in things which look like regular items found in a home.
Unlike the classic “Marvin” comic strip, Doug never expresses his thoughts in this strip.
Marvin and his male dog, Bitsy, do mentally communicate with each other.
