Babies and puppies are both quite cute, but underneath the soft, cuddly exteriors lie the fearsome hearts of competitors. Well, not really. When a new baby joins the household, Sophie the dog is initially irritated, but eventually comes to see the baby, Doug, as the asset he is: a better way to get snacks. Though the baby is still hogging precious attention, and has a tendency to pull ears and be a general nuisance, a begrudging friendship forms between the two rivals. Watch the mischief unfold in Brian Anderson’s Dog Eat Doug.

Bobby Flay would want some ancho chilies in the mix…

Sophie has most of the four food groups covered.

It might be something you’d see on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

Guy has yet to feature a real “Dive” on his Monday night Food Network show.
We used to call a dive establishment a “greasy spoon.” Eating places that would be classified as a dive are usually closed by the health department.
Was Doug served all of those different kinds of food at one meal?

More upscale establishments than “Dives” have been or should be closed. I didn’t see much of the show, but the one with Gordon Ramsay going into them and fixing them had some of the most sickening kitchens I’ve ever seen.
I miss a particular greasy spoon in Montreal.

Sophie appears to be a bit peeved at the selection Doug chose for her to eat.

BC 13 – those are only ones prepared to go public. Think (or don’t) about the kitchens you haven’t seen!
