Babies and puppies are both quite cute, but underneath the soft, cuddly exteriors lie the fearsome hearts of competitors. Well, not really. When a new baby joins the household, Sophie the dog is initially irritated, but eventually comes to see the baby, Doug, as the asset he is: a better way to get snacks. Though the baby is still hogging precious attention, and has a tendency to pull ears and be a general nuisance, a begrudging friendship forms between the two rivals. Watch the mischief unfold in Brian Anderson’s Dog Eat Doug.

What goes around comes around.
But how did Doug sneak up on Sophie so quickly…and wouldn’t she have heard him? Maybe I’m over-analyzing…

Not quite a “Boo-yah!”, but hey, pretty decent for a baby.

I have two entrances to a short hallway off my living room.
I watch my cats play this game on each other all the time.

Doug got even with Sophie today.
Sophie said “BOO-YAAAA!” two days ago.

Dogs rely much more on scent than sound, so if “ol’ stinky pants” is worthy of the name then Sophie SHOULD be ashamed of herself!
“Maybe Sophie’s lost her nose.”
“Lost her nose? How does she smell?”
“BAD AS EVER!!! HAW!”

Sophie, Remember you scared Doug a couple days ago. Pay back is a pain.
We had a Cat we could do this too. We would sneak up on her and yell boo.. She would leap 5 feet straight up.
Sophie and Doug were playing Hide-n-Seek and or tag.
