Babies and puppies are both quite cute, but underneath the soft, cuddly exteriors lie the fearsome hearts of competitors. Well, not really. When a new baby joins the household, Sophie the dog is initially irritated, but eventually comes to see the baby, Doug, as the asset he is: a better way to get snacks. Though the baby is still hogging precious attention, and has a tendency to pull ears and be a general nuisance, a begrudging friendship forms between the two rivals. Watch the mischief unfold in Brian Anderson’s Dog Eat Doug.

Funny. Perhaps Sophie has gone off the deep end, but more likely she just wants a little attention.

My Boston Terrier will sometimes “smile”… She makes a snarling face but no snarling sound to go with it… It’s cute…

Is Sophie some kind of comics reincarnation of Calvin?

Ji2m When I was a kid we had a dog like that smiled at people who thought it was an act of aggression…in reality the dog was a gentle hero tho untrained as such he acted as a seiing eye dog for my Mother on her daily walks after she lost her vision. And when my Father stopped by the house on his way btween hospitals in 1987 the dog walked up to him sniffed his hand …turned around and left we found him later hiding and crying….Dad passed away 3 months after that he never saw the dog or home again.

Wonder how long a labrasaurus can stand upright like that?
