Babies and puppies are both quite cute, but underneath the soft, cuddly exteriors lie the fearsome hearts of competitors. Well, not really. When a new baby joins the household, Sophie the dog is initially irritated, but eventually comes to see the baby, Doug, as the asset he is: a better way to get snacks. Though the baby is still hogging precious attention, and has a tendency to pull ears and be a general nuisance, a begrudging friendship forms between the two rivals. Watch the mischief unfold in Brian Anderson’s Dog Eat Doug.

It’s hard to decide who’s cuter, Sophie or the deer.

I’m sure mom appreciates the fact that you don’t bark or chase them out of the yard as well. She likes them to eat her rosebuds and loves it when they chomp on her plants. Good dog Sophie.

…as the unseen ,fearless hunter pulls back the string on his bow and zeroes in ……he grins in anticipation of Bambi’s impending , flopping, helpless death throes …..it’s not the meat, he reasons, its the kill….above all, the kill…….

Very cute deer - however, real deer eating all your rose buds and tomatoes are NOT cute!

Excellent strip Brian. You continue to awe us with your abilities and we love the animals. Sophie will always be my favorite though. Innocent yet adventurous.
