   This is like those molds for making pewter jewelry. You put Styrofoam of the shape you want to make inside packed sand, then pour the molten pewter into the sand. It melts the Styrofoam and takes its place. There may be a small pool of liquid seeping from the boots at the bottom…

   I didn’t know it got that old in the south. Here in Darkest Saskatchewan, it’s currently only -7ºC, but the wind chill makes it feel like -15. For the uninitiated, that’s 20ºF with a wind chill of 5. But on Saturday, we’re supposed to get up to a high of 0ºC!!
