Welcome to Dixie Drive, the main drag through that little town up the road. Make a right or left onto any side street and who knows what or who you might come across. These folks are as unpredictable as a squirrel in the street on a hot summer's day and they don't care what you think about it. They're not hurting anybody, (except maybe themselves). they're just playing their cards with the hand they were dealt, so stand back and we'll see what they come up with next. The folks near Dixie Drive might reside in some backwater southern town and some of their weirdness may be particularly "Southern" but don't kid yourself, this is Small Town America: the same animal from Portland East to Portland West. Woof!

“Give me a second to grab my wite-out. There, ‘All I can eat buffet’! And your third helping is more than I can eat.”

And according to Marge’s testimony, after getting thrown out of the all-you-can-eat seafood restaurant, Homer went driving around all night looking for another one. And when he couldn’t find one, went fishing.

I have never understood, why, at all you can eat buffets, I see people stacking their plates 12 inches high. All they have to do is make a few more trips. Do they think they look less glutonous? Or do they hate excercise that much?

Sorry, that’s all you can eat for $8.95. Go home, fat boy. You’ve been here 4 hours.

@Notsoastute I agree. There is a buffet near where I live we frequent a couple of times a month. First trip a light salad, and a little sausage or chicken livers. Second trip a little bit of about 4 items, Third trip little bit of Super good stuff and a small dessert. No need to mix it all together to destroy individual taste pleasure. And only eat one regular meal. Works like a charm. Oh yes and that day I only eat that one meal and a light snack, so I can eat biscuits and gravy and fried foods.
