It isn’t exactly like there is a lot to do when in a long line for a ride. Or Adventures and Attractions, if it is a Disney park.

And don’t some rollercoasters have backwards facing seats available?

Well, the wait for the roller coaster is 183 minutes. Mom gave them a spare cell, her cell or hubby’s cell phone to the kids to use. And as to kids having cells? I personally believe it depends on a few factors. Age of the child, reason for a cell are just a couple. Both mine had the cheaper flip phones starting in 6th grade. They were going on field trips with their various groups (scouting, basketball games, etc) without mom or dad. I worked and it was easier for them to use the cell in order to get hold of me.

I’m not exactly up to date on wait times for amusement park rides…….but 3 hours? He would need to pack a lunch.

Mumble, grumble, growf, kvetch, curmudge, hisss. Today’s strip aggravates on so many levels.
But waiting three hours for a ride on a $100 ticket—priceless! And not me.

Morning Crustodians! It is after two, should have been in bed already. My son and daughter happen to visit the same night so I am up late. Going to bed now. Night. Thanks for the kind words yesterday.

    @Dave Hussell

Dave, I missed out on getting to your comic, and now I can’t find your comment where you first mentioned it — plz, can you post a link to it? I’d love to see it!

    Morning all….
I’m sure the 183 minutes is exaggerated cos this is a comic strip…
awfully realistic sometimes, but … whew….
good to know real life has a few differences from life in Crustwood.

Ok, there must be some… please…..

But waiting times at Disneyland CAN be an hour and a half…. dunno about Six Flags….
It varies with the season, weather and time of day….
and believe it or not, as with any missing piece of information somebody is just dying to provide….
    there’s an app for that!

A handful, in fact, for iPhone or Android, that estimate the wait time at all the attractions, so you can decide whether it’s a bad idea to walk all the way to Pirates of the Caribbean right now….
or choose the most efficient schedule for your whole day.

There MAY be rear-facing seats on some rides…
but our sweet Burl, of course, is advising those spoiled boys to ride backwards so they’ll fall off…..

Funny thing is I thought the Mom was stupidly giving them HER phone….
    so they could… er… call … her?

Leaky, he needs to pack a lunch regardless.

Regardless of wait times, available snacks, or whether he just ate 10 minutes ago…. he’ll want lunch.

2Old… the heads in this strip seem to be made out of rubber, changing shapes daily.

And last…. Purple.. you don’t need a link.
If you remember that he said it was called “Oat” you can just go to Sherpa and find it in the alphabetical list.

And if you don’t remember, you can just put “Dave Hussell” in the search box on any page…
it finds strips by title or cartoonist.

It starts Monday, though there’s a character page already posted.

    Yeah Dave, I looked.

Don’t worry about those long lines, Susan. Your Priority Pass is waiting for you at the ticket booth. It’s good for all rides and attractions at Red Flags Amusement Park. No need to wait in line. Just march right up to the head of the line. And there’s one for Marg too. Compliments of XTI.

    Oh!

    G’mornin’, X….

    Thank you!
So very kind…. a bonus for doing business with XTI…..

    Wait…. Red Flags?
    First ones on?

    We’re not gonna be… um….
    like beta testers, are we?
