Julie Larson began writing The Dinette Set comic in 1990, then called Suburban Torture, offering a satire on middle class culture. The Dinette Set became syndicated in 1997. When asked where Julie gets all of her ideas, she admits there is only one way to write a daily comic: write about what you know. "I make no bones about who’s really talking in The Dinette Set," says Julie, who is writer, director and cast of The Dinette Set. "If we can’t make fun of ourselves, who will?"

After a couple of days of leaving out the Find-Its, today Julie put in two….
well, three if you count the biggest dumbbell of all.
But that one’s n the strip every day…. so it doesn’t take much searching.

Technically, I only see one dumbbell with a face, ok, maybe two, counting the biggest dumbbell. the lower one on the right panel. There is one in the tree and one in the left panel, but neither have faces drawn in them.

Hmmmm…..
The dumbbell we’re supposed to find looks polka-dotted to me… I don’t see a face on it.
I see two of that sort of dumbbell (O=O ?) but without dots or faces,
and of course, the large DumbBurl…
We could count the two standing ones with faces…
even though today they are TRYING to keep out of harm’s way….
Being anyplace near Burl and a toboggan does qualify them for inclusion, I suppose …. as do most of their daily activities…
so I’d say FIVE.
