Julie Larson began writing The Dinette Set comic in 1990, then called Suburban Torture, offering a satire on middle class culture. The Dinette Set became syndicated in 1997. When asked where Julie gets all of her ideas, she admits there is only one way to write a daily comic: write about what you know. "I make no bones about who’s really talking in The Dinette Set," says Julie, who is writer, director and cast of The Dinette Set. "If we can’t make fun of ourselves, who will?"

Here’s the new pink blouse with white flowers. Guess the GBwOF is either worn out or packed away for the winter.

Yeah, Marg, you got him. He, without knowing, just went ahead and parked in a handicapped spot. But you see, it was an “emergency.” The nearest regular spot was at least twenty feet farther away, and he didn’t see anyone handicapped looking for a parking place.
True story: Here in Houston, some lawyers with business in the Court House park all day in the handicapped zones right in front of the building. It’s cheaper to pay the fines en masse than it is to park in a garage farther away and, of course, their time is sooo valuable.

More evidence (if it were needed, which it isn’t) that lawyers are scraped off the bottom of the gene pool, where all the cr@p lies (and I chose the word ‘lies’ with due care and attention)

How can you tell when a lawyer is lying?
His lips are moving.

I heard that years ago, large companies would dump their toxic waste into the streams and pay the fines. The fines were much cheaper than properly disposing of the waste.
One lawyer in a town will starve. If there are two, they both will become wealthy.
(I forgot who said that).

Yeah, he just thought it was his lucky day to find front row parking in the doctor’s office parking lot.

When I go to the gym, I try to get a space near the door. I don’t want to walk across a parking lot to go in and use the treadmill.

Let’s see: Burl did not know that he is not officially “handicapped” OR did not know that one does not park in a handicapped space without authorization?
