Scientists were talking about Global Warming 40 years ago but things have changed.

Now we’re all talking about it.

    re: #6

Those pushing it got control of grant money and politicians found they could profit off of it. And so, it MUST be happening, because it benefits the pocket books of various parties. Not because the actual science remotely supports it without tinkering severely with the base data. (I used to work for NOAA and I saw just how dishonorable politics went.)

Rather like DuPont’s patent on Freon expiring and then suddenly it’s “ozone holes”. Guess who came up with a replacement for fluorocarbons. As has been said “follow the money.”

I get it: the “ozone hole” is actually an alien portal for their entry into and conquest of our universe. That’s why they fried Dilbert’s computer with their ray—guns: to keep their secret!

Hey, Mr. Scientist. You say there was an ice age eons ago? You say ice covered 2/3 of the earth? Was it catastrophic global warming caused by human carbon emissions that caused the ice to recede so drastically?

Actually, the big scare from scientists 40 years ago was global COOLING caused by pollution. That’s what everyone was talking about back then. Given that, plus the fact that evidential analysis has inherent epistemological problems, I think it’s fair to cast aspersions on scientific certitude where likelihoods are based on presuppositional quantifications.
