    With the exception of a few that use satellite phones, car phones are cell phones.

    Back before cell phones became common, a local store near me sold fake plastic car phones. I didn’t feel the need to buy one.

    about the same time I saw a car phone……although there is still a booth in the hotel in Nelson, BC last I saw but it was a built in unit.

    I see a phone booth everyday in Salt Lake. It no longer has a phone in it. The glass is broken out and it’s been tagged all over with graffiti. It was abandoned and forgotten by the phone company.
