Dogbert can smell a macaroni and cheese rat a mile away.

    Enter Ratbert, stage right.

    Sorry, you’re wrong.
From the actors perspective, stage-right is the the area of the stage to the right of center stage when facing the audience.
Here, the rat is entering stage-left.

I thought they were mud-flaps. (Heheheh. —Just kidding, Dogbert; they’re very nice ear-flaps!)

Is Ratbert blue or just shaded?

FYI: Scott Adams commented that the plot is hard to summarize on strip.

So when you upstage someone, you do it from behind them. Interesting.

As I’m learning from my dog, those babies are also for crusty ear mites around the edges. Neem oil from ebay seems to control them

Could Dogbert be a rat terrier?

“So when you upstage someone, you do it from behind them. "

No – by walking in front of someone, you push them upstage.

Well, where else would you expect ear mites to be? Can’t get angry at ’em for knowing their job!

I’d like to see Ratbert in the current Dilbert more often. He has a kind of naïve innocence somewhat reminiscent of Stan Laurel. You don’t often see characters like that anymore.
