    I most certainly find computers confusing indeed.. I’m the first to admit that I am indeed a complete idiot..

    When it comes to computers, you have to choose your battles. I’m a programmer, and a good one, but I don’t do hardware or operating systems. I program in Visual Basic whenever I can, Fortran when I have to, and hide from C++ whenever it comes near me.

    I hope you have spare briefs, dear Dilly (and the same goes for INGSOC). Bob the Dinosaur is being ruthlessly efficient at the underwear rip-off. I shall say nothing about my relationship with computers….

    Sisyphos -
    My honesty seems to get me into trouble at times.. I will have to watch my back of Bob the Dinosaur.. He is such a silly prankster..

    @Leslie Barks,
    Fortran is still around? I remember using that at the computer lab at Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1965. As for the other 2 you mentioned, I never heard of them. (I was only at MSOE for a year. I flunked calculus twice and dropped out and joined the USAF)

    I had to take fortran in the late 1980s. It’s a great deal like BASIC. I taught myself how to program in BASIC, but no need for either it or fortran in years.
    .
    I’ve built a large number of computers for people. It’s safer to do that than to try to put up with the screwups that the premade ones seem to love. HP, for example, seems to love spyware, but claims it’s to help the user. Snort.

    You have a point, but this is NOT the place for it.
