    If you answer that last question, you never get out of bed.

    Happened to me today I woke up lost and confused. Then depressed when I realized I did have to work.

    It is 1:53 AM. I’m at work. I work weird shifts and days and I wake up like this frequently.

    It’s even weirder when you wake up in a hotel or relative’s house…and can’t remember where you are …

    There is just so much to be said for going back to bed until you can wake up thinking, “Okay, this might be interesting.” A sensible country would ensure this option for everyone. Think of how much more pleasant things would be if everyone was well-rested and in the mood to be helpful.

    And how might a country do that?

    “Morning amnesia” can happen at other times of day, too, such as after a nap. Waking up not knowing the time or day can be momentarily disorienting; Dilbert is more permanently disoriented….

    @Prof d'anglais

    I’m sure you’re not the only one, but it seems to be rare. I dislike my job a lot and would love to move on if I could afford to.

    @Sisyphos

    Waking up after a nap can be even more disorienting than after a normal night’s sleep.
