    I thought I’d read somewhere that the platypus was cold-blooded, but all the online sources state that it has a lower temperature than most mammals.
    Still say it looks like it was designed by a committee.

    Platypus is a mammal and a monotreme only two types in existence. We are placentals, Australia has most of the marsupials ( pouch).

    Platypus has certain active reptile genes. Thy only mammal with venom carrying spurs.
