    I saw a series on NOVA about the universe. One theory was that our 3D reality behaved more like a projection form a 2D surface. Which would mean the world…and everything else is flat.

    I didn’t see that, and it doesn’t make much sense. You can project from 3D to 2D, (or at least hypothetically from 4 dimensions onto 3,) but I don’t see how you can project from fewer dimensions into more.
