re: pouncingtiger:
I know it won’t penetrate that layer of dishonesty that you have, but when I worked for the Feds, I had a copy of the complete patriot act as part of my job. It’s not a terribly long document.
.
The Act tied up a lot of loose ends in the laws and made it MANDATORY to have a judge’s involvement when electronic surveillance was to be performed.
.
What is so terrible about requiring a warrant before wiretapping and before other invasions of privacy?
.
This was a complete reversal of the situation that happened under Clinton, where such wiretapping and computer snooping was commonly done.
.
in effect, Pouncingtiger, just like most of our media, you are blaming Bush 43 for what Clinton did.
.
What do we call such a person? A liar.
.
Shame on you.

@Nabuquduriuzhur
And yet
The NSA warrantless surveillance controversy (AKA “Warrantless Wiretapping”) concerns surveillance of persons within the United States during the collection of foreign intelligence by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) as part of the war on terror.

The paper cost a quarter. What year did this comic come out?
piloti said, 8 months ago
@Radish
Sept. 12th, 1989.

Surveillance cameras are everywhere now; I don’t think they were in 1989. So, as one would expect, Dilbert was singularly unlucky.

How on earth did they take the picture, get it to the papers, print it, and slip it in the box in a second?

He is lucky Obama’s unmanned spy drones didn’t take him out. Don’t you feel safer that the gov. is using those to spy on their own people?

What are you going to do with two newspapers anyway?
francisrossi said, 8 months ago
@bpullin
Better that than taking out their village.
HareBall said, 8 months ago
@francisrossi
Are you sure they aren’t taking out some people’s “villages”? Do we know for sure that they house that exploded yesterday was not an attack on the cop for some reason?
