Artist Joe Staton and writer Mike Curtis co-author "Dick Tracy," the classic comic strip distributed by Tribune Media Services.
Created by Chester Gould in 1931, "Dick Tracy" is one of America's most-enduring pop-cultural icons, noteworthy for its steadfast, chisel-jawed hero and the gruesome gallery of villains he and his fearless team of Crimestoppers must outwit to put behind bars.
When longtime "Dick Tracy" artist and writer Dick Locher retired from the strip after 32 years of meritorious service, fans Staton and Curtis jumped at the chance to don the yellow fedora and trench coat. Staton has been drawing comic books for many years and has more than 1,000 credits under his belt. Curtis, who has been writing comics since 1986, is the only former law-enforcement officer to work on "Dick Tracy." Both creators are excited about the new--and dangerous--adventures they have in store for Dick Tracy and his Crimestoppers.

I like this way better than that Cinnamon Knight story line, but I guess the two subplots will intersect at some point? It will be interesting to see whether or how that happens.

Here’s a weird thought I had: like all of the Moon people, Honeymoon has antennae (Her 2 little pony tails HIDE them), can she not use them to find her kind (On Mom’s side)?
I figure, even if they can’t actually use them to communicate, they should at least be able to pick up the electronic pulses they shoot out, if there’s another one near. Might we see Honey’s antennae for the first time ever?

“Might we see Honey’s antennae for the first time ever?”<<
Almost sounds like some kind of weird fetish :p

Hi Mikeyj,
I am old enough to remember when Honeymoon was born, and at that time, Gould said that because of her mixed ancestry, she had only two tufts of hair where pure-blooded Moon People have horns.
BUT—Is it possible that Moon horns have developed under Honey’s ponytails in the passing years? Might this be a secret that she has kept from everyone—even from Junior? I do hope that you are right, and that Honeymoon will use her Lunar powers to help solve the “Moon Maid” mystery.
I didn’t much like the “Moon Years” back in my youth, but good things come to those who wait. And I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Looks like a particularly cloudy day on Earth. lol It should be interesting to see what Honeymoon has in mind.

Nothing good ever came out of those last words honeymoon spoke in panel three! Maybe she’ll enlist CK and BP to help her find her “mom” when she gets back to earth?

Not just the picture of Honeymoon. The artwork in Panel 2 is great too!
I wasn’t a real fan of the “Moon Years” back in my youth either, but I’m really interested in this story.

I hope Honeymoon’s right. I would hate after all this to find out Mysta’s a fake, too.

“I think my mother is alive…and I’ll prove it!”
She is and you will. You go, girl! What a great kid. Plenty of good comes from that spirit.

I agree. Go for it, Honey!
Someone suggested yesterday the moon people could be on Titan or another moon of Saturn or Jupiter. It’s true that their physiology is different from ours and they prefer cooler temperatures, but they still need oxygen to breathe. If the moon people are anywhere in the solar system, it pretty much has to be Earth.
