Holy crossovers Tracy fans! From one crossover straight into another. It looks like Mike has gone batty on us, but in a good way.

For those who don’t get the inside joke references, here are some links to help out:

Bob Kane – co-creator of Batman and The Penguin, to name a few.

Dick Sprang – Original designer of The Riddler

Jerry Robinson – Arguable creator of The Joker and Alfred Pennyworth

I wonder if there are a couple more henchmen named Finger and Roussos somewhere in the wings. (grin)
Take note of the two umbrellas in panel two. Any guesses on who “The Boss” is? Yesterday, posters DrSid1 and Stagger Lee gave spoilers about the “brother”.
I can hardly wait until tomorrow for the Sunday on this one! Same Tracy time. Same Tracy forum.

    WHAT’S THIS?

ROFL! I can hear the voice of the narrator on the old Batman TV show saying those words.

It’s too much to ask in this day and age but todays strip makes me long for this team to do a good old fashion golden age version of Batman or Superman strip in a daily basis.

All of this makes my post for yesterday’s cartoon seem almost prophetic:

Many comic book critics believe that Bob Kane (Batman) used Broadway Bates as the model for the Penguin, he denied it of course (Kane claimed he got the idea from the Penguin on the “Cool” cigarettes package); of course anyone who is into comics history knows that Bob Kane was well known for “borrowing” from other artists

Personally, I’ve never really cared for “crossovers” , but, I’ll see how this goes
