Artist Joe Staton and writer Mike Curtis co-author "Dick Tracy," the classic comic strip distributed by Tribune Media Services.
Created by Chester Gould in 1931, "Dick Tracy" is one of America's most-enduring pop-cultural icons, noteworthy for its steadfast, chisel-jawed hero and the gruesome gallery of villains he and his fearless team of Crimestoppers must outwit to put behind bars.
When longtime "Dick Tracy" artist and writer Dick Locher retired from the strip after 32 years of meritorious service, fans Staton and Curtis jumped at the chance to don the yellow fedora and trench coat. Staton has been drawing comic books for many years and has more than 1,000 credits under his belt. Curtis, who has been writing comics since 1986, is the only former law-enforcement officer to work on "Dick Tracy." Both creators are excited about the new--and dangerous--adventures they have in store for Dick Tracy and his Crimestoppers.

This also wouldn’t be the first time that Vitamin was the unknowing dupe of some conman and left holding the bag (I can’t recall the specifics, but, I did read a DT story arc where this happened)

Jumping from one cartoon strip to another doesn’t happen too often!

@WW2 Marine Veteran
They would have gotten permission from the other strip.

i cant decide who’s nose is “broken” more.. tracy’s or vitamin’s! lol! anybody know how tracy got his “distinctive profile”? as for the story… a LOT of tracy’s best stories started out rather oddly, i’m more than willing to give this one about..oh i dunno.. SIX WEEKS to pan out! lol! btw does this mean that walt and vitamin will be spending thanksgiving at the tracy household? imagine THAT scene… the tracy’s and the plenty’s gathered around the table giving thanks, walt wallet wondering why he isnt with skeezix and clovia, vitamin flintheart (my new nickname for him is THE HARBINGER… nothing good comes along when vitamin is around lol) hanging out with godson joe, and in the kitchen… MOON MAID PULVERIZING THE TURKEY WITH HER MALLET!! ++SIGH++ it warms the heart doesnt it? lol :)

This gets curiouser and curiouser.

I much prefer Tracy calling Vitamin by his first name rather than his last (8/24). He did help deliver Tracy’s son after all.
