Chester Gould, a veteran cartoonist, began drawing his most legendary character, the dashing and daring Dick Tracy for the newspaper comics page in 1931. Modeled in the image of the innovative Sherlock Holmes, Gould was inspired to create new crime-fighting technology, including the two-way wrist TV, closed circuit TV police line-up and the engineless car that took Dick Tracy to the moon (both literally and figuratively).
Although many remember him with fond nostalgia, Dick Tracy, now written and illustrated by Dick Locher, continues to be relevant as he combines old-fashioned values with 21st century innovation to capture corporate crooks, computer pirates, polluters, skyjackers, gang members and terrorists.

Ah, at last we have the spade shaped nose. And another Tor Johnson clone.

Why haven’t the cops figured out that the big winners have been getting robbed, thus establishing an M.O.? Oh wait, Tracy is in charge. Never mind.

Now what is that thing with Macy in the first panel?

It looks like a torso with a lampshade for a head, but it’s really the King of Clubs.

Great call Marg. I laughed.
What to do with one eye…. Why, take out his other eye…

Over the past few days, Brozman has been purposely hiding the top of Big A-holes face. Why? So he can reveal the terrible thing that happened to his nose. Actually, Brozman, you already revealed his nose, and so now we have a two separate Big A-holes.

Finally we have a good plot. I hope…

Spade nose. He does have that Cro-Magnon look, doesn’t he? But, hey, I bet he wears diamonds, has a big heart, and a club foot too.

Is that one big eyelid hanging off of his forehead?

Really liked that “Lamp shade” observation by margueritem. It’s a classic and Grok makes a solid point, One Eye’s transaction is late, so those from the other Casinos are complete. How come no general alarm about Casino winners being robbed. Does the Chief have a clue what is happening ?. Hasn’t Tattle-Tale Teevo reported in yet (?) or is he frozen away somewhere like a block of Ice as Sam and the late Claude Crystal?
You may be writing for children, but put a little back-bone of reality into the script. The smater kids will appreciate being treated as if they have a modicum of intelligence. Any kid “bright” enough to understand those corney gambling “puns” will be disgusted with the sloppy observation of correct police procedure Locher currently writes in for Dick Tracy.
This is good advice and it’s “free” !
The current storyline has slipped into deep boredom. Let’s move on to something new, “freshen” up the strip ! Keep interest bubbling up ! Hope that the Genius doesn’t keep on fiddling the “same” Casino tune.

neonleon59, Checked your link (thanks). BUT what I’m “seeing “are OLD strips up to Sunday May 17.
Another TMS site under the names of Locher and Brozman go up to Sunday May 31. But NOT beyond !
Are YOU seeing strips on TMS after those dates ?

As with the recent past storylines, this one just keeps getting more and more stupid. I can honestly say, if it weren’t for being able to read the entertaining comments, I wouldn’t even bother with this travesty of a comic strip.

in the 1st frame, it looks like Tracy has been carving prison type tattoos on his hand.

Monte’s Casino tomorrow !
Any bets ? Will it be another “solo” charge of Locher’s Light Brigade ? Will Sam be there? Any other form of back uo? Will Teevo be persuaded to finaly get his hands wet outside the office ? Will Lizz know what’s happening ?
And really ! Yet another poor example of police procedure to be seen by kiddie readers ? Why bother to have a Crimestoppers Textbook while inculcating “nonsensical” practises in the strip ??
Perhaps, “Crystal” (from Big Brass - 1974) can see that future in her crystal ball

Sydney… Yep, when I go to http://www.tmsfeatures.com/bio/jim-brozman/ I see daily strips from 6/23 through 6/27, and a Sunday strip for 6/28. Must be some kind of caching problem.
Try copying and pasting the following URL that links directly to the 6/23 image, then change the date part of the URL (20090623) to future dates (20090624, etc.):

I checked the TMS Brozman samples and they have strips from as far out as July 4. Be afraid! We have EVEN MORE card puns coming. Maybe we will get a new story by football season or thereabout.
