Chester Gould, a veteran cartoonist, began drawing his most legendary character, the dashing and daring Dick Tracy for the newspaper comics page in 1931. Modeled in the image of the innovative Sherlock Holmes, Gould was inspired to create new crime-fighting technology, including the two-way wrist TV, closed circuit TV police line-up and the engineless car that took Dick Tracy to the moon (both literally and figuratively).
Although many remember him with fond nostalgia, Dick Tracy, now written and illustrated by Dick Locher, continues to be relevant as he combines old-fashioned values with 21st century innovation to capture corporate crooks, computer pirates, polluters, skyjackers, gang members and terrorists.

Falling from the second floor through a glass window didn’t hurt him. I guess roulette tables must be his nemesis.

You know, any policeman worth his salt would have made that call weeks ago.

“Yeah, Big Ace, that’s the genius who let some old goat (and I mean that in the literal sense) take home 3/4 of a million of bucks. Matter-of-fact, Big Ace, we delivered it to his house.”

One question. Why do all units have to call in at this time?

Don’t we all realize that Locher has squeezed experienced Tracy into being an act-alone detective violating police proceadures on engaging crime in a lone wolf style?
So this time, after doing it all “Han Solo”, even operating the “listening van” (which he keeps parked at home? just for these emmergencies), he calls them in, they respond as we will find out later.
But, that’s just a minor sin of ommission. He has the man fighting like Rocky Marciano for two weeks and all this time with a TASER on his Wrist Gee Nee, which could have put Jack writhing on the floor in 30 seconds. No need to have dramatically jumped through a window! He failed to use the Taser!
Exposing once again his cavalier attitude and frustrating lack of “focus” in producing a leading comic strip. Here we have a practising “professional” who just plumb forgets all the time, and now hopes, fingers crossed and with a “red face” that we have too!

morrow: it’s supposed to be Big Ace’s idea for BO to win all that money. And to deliver it to BO.
Well, Jack’s left ear has peered from out the Stygian darkness…

I really don’t see what sense in calling the Naperville Police Squad or those
former iraqi-born First Responders!! They never show up in any of these story arces!
At least on “Scooby-Doo” the law has the common decency to show up at the end of every mystery!

Every casino I’ve ever been in had tons of security working the place to make sure such things didnt happen. Especially to the boss.

Dypak, maybe they don’t like their boss and they’re gonna let Tracy play a little whup-*$$ on him.

Well, there’s something unusual.
This is the first time in a while that the bad guy survived.

Why is that the shadows only work on certain features? Is One Eyed Jack’s ear Glow in the Dark?
