Chester Gould, a veteran cartoonist, began drawing his most legendary character, the dashing and daring Dick Tracy for the newspaper comics page in 1931. Modeled in the image of the innovative Sherlock Holmes, Gould was inspired to create new crime-fighting technology, including the two-way wrist TV, closed circuit TV police line-up and the engineless car that took Dick Tracy to the moon (both literally and figuratively).
Although many remember him with fond nostalgia, Dick Tracy, now written and illustrated by Dick Locher, continues to be relevant as he combines old-fashioned values with 21st century innovation to capture corporate crooks, computer pirates, polluters, skyjackers, gang members and terrorists.

Oh well. Saves the cost of a trial.

Roma’s still got her gun, but she’s in shock (bad pun) over the death of Braces. Tracy could probably take her gun right now by just asking for it, and I doubt she’d notice handing it over.
Nothing to do now but wait for BB, and wish I had enough talent like his to do something with this.

Yeah Dick Locher has “gotta do something”. It’s called RETIRE.

Dick Tracy let me down again today by not being able to bend in any non-akward, obtrusive way. Look at him in panel#1! I think the police dept will give him demerits for his poor form. For shame, Tracy, for shame.

I think we should check MF’s UL approval sticker. All this sizzling is against government regulations.

Braces sure can levitate for a dead guy.

“Gotta do something!” Folks, this forum is working. We’ve been telling him that for three weeks, and we finally got through.

Yeah, Tracy, you gotta do something. Now that you’ve kicked the head off’n MF/BF, take it home and give it to Tess for Christmas. Nothing like giving her a head. (Lips, keep thineselves closed!)Heh-heh!

Go BB! Unfortunately, you may have to continue this for much longer than you’d like to.

Wonder if Braces has made his last payment on MF/BF? It’d be terrible if he still owed on him.

BB, you may have to continue this through Christmas. Keep thinking up the great ideas!

Roasted/Toasted Braces.

This has got to be the most ridiculous storyline since Diet Smith brought back Moon Maid! C’mon Dick Locher, Diet Smith’s technology with Trazr and Braces with Magnum Force appears from fifty-year old sci-fi stories. Braces also looks suspiciously like Beavis.

“Gotta Do Something”
Yeah, that’s great idea after his head is ready to pop off like a spring.
I’m doing something too….opening a cold frosty one right about now…..

Ok, since I’ve started reading I’ve made it through three plot lines. Last Halloween the guy fell off the roof and was run over by a bulldozer. Baskerville was devoured by his own hounds. And now this weiner gets electrocuted by the disembodied hand of his own robot. Which had grabbed him by the jaw no less. Has Tracey ever actually arrested someone and brought him to trial? Or is he some kind of serial “standby and watch the perp die” kind of cop?

Dypak, don’t forget the Cole Lector plotline where DT bravely hid inside a ceramic horse and a suit of armor, and had to be rescued by Dab Stract (who killed the villain with a bow and arrow). This is the most action Dick has shown us all year.

Prison overcrowding must not be much of a problem in Tracy’s neck of the woods. The criminals usually die horribly before they get taken into custody.
