Chester Gould, a veteran cartoonist, began drawing his most legendary character, the dashing and daring Dick Tracy for the newspaper comics page in 1931. Modeled in the image of the innovative Sherlock Holmes, Gould was inspired to create new crime-fighting technology, including the two-way wrist TV, closed circuit TV police line-up and the engineless car that took Dick Tracy to the moon (both literally and figuratively).
Although many remember him with fond nostalgia, Dick Tracy, now written and illustrated by Dick Locher, continues to be relevant as he combines old-fashioned values with 21st century innovation to capture corporate crooks, computer pirates, polluters, skyjackers, gang members and terrorists.

It’s hard to remember stuff that happened a month ago for some of us - these recaps keep everything fresh :-)

I like Traze-R’s face in the last panel. Unfortunately, he looks more human then Dick does.

Mecha-Dick must have gone to the same school for English that Tonto did. Mmmmm, Kemo Sabe.

The robot looks a lot smaller in the second panel. What happened to towering over everyone?

Kind of looks like DT will burst out in song in panel 2. Hope its a good robot fighting ballad. Something like mnmnmnmnmnmnmnnmn. Yeah, thats the stuff.

If I’ve said it once to you Dick Tracy hating jerks, I’ll say it again! IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE STRIP, DON’T READ IT!!! It’s still better than some of the trash on TV these days.

Grokenstein says: Quick reminder: If you don’t like the comments, don’t read ‘em.
A-Men! The comments are why we are here. Just read the strip, and quietly go on to the next comic.

Is it just me, or does Traze-R look more and more like he has war-paint on every time we see him up close?
DT looks like he is dancing with Traze-R in panel #2. I think they are dancing to the song “Locomotion”.

“This could be a problem. I’ve got six wheels, but I’m rigidly mounted to my base. BF has only four wheels but he’s mounted on a spring covered by a bellows. He’s more manueverable. I could be in trouble here.”
Michael McMillan said, about 1 year ago
I’ve gotten a bit of a feel for these big mechanical things. Expect mecha-Dickzilla to win if it’s a marathon battle. He’s built tough and can take a beating long after Brute Force is scrap. The first couple of rounds might be BF’s though. Better manueverability could carry the day early on. Six wheels and a rigid mounting are real trouble in a hit-and-run battle, which I suspect is the kind BF would favor.
Yes, I admit to having watched too many robot battles on TV.

As Jack Buck said many years ag: I don’t believe what I just saw..

Hey EatDickTracySandwiches! We’ve been talking about the warpaint for weeks! Keep up with the comments bro!.
DingleFartMart -If you don’t like the comments, don’t read’em. Just keep reading this pathetic comic strip and keep your lame annoyances to yourself, or just head back and turn on the Dynasty Re-runs you obviously like to watch.
Of course, we’ll keep picking away at Senile ole Locher…..
