Chester Gould, a veteran cartoonist, began drawing his most legendary character, the dashing and daring Dick Tracy for the newspaper comics page in 1931. Modeled in the image of the innovative Sherlock Holmes, Gould was inspired to create new crime-fighting technology, including the two-way wrist TV, closed circuit TV police line-up and the engineless car that took Dick Tracy to the moon (both literally and figuratively).
Although many remember him with fond nostalgia, Dick Tracy, now written and illustrated by Dick Locher, continues to be relevant as he combines old-fashioned values with 21st century innovation to capture corporate crooks, computer pirates, polluters, skyjackers, gang members and terrorists.

Whoa, Traze-R is actually in the truck! At this rate, they may get there after Genesis is totally destroyed by MF, who’s the only one who seems to know what’s going on.

If Robo-D can detect MF ‘cause of the evil rays, can MF sense Robo-D goody rays??

Hoooo, boy… Can Dick Tracy (the comic strip, not the detective) get any goofier than this?

Is that some Halloween decorations outside the window in the 3rd panel? BTW, where is the rest of Genesis Corp? Is this a weekend? Seems like no one works there.
Tracy still has the Hunchback working in Panel 1. The guard in Panel 3 has VERY long legs.

Not intending to be trite, but this is a hoot! Locher probably didn’t intend it as such, and would take the comment as an insult (as would BNM and Jeff). Gould would most likely harpoon Locher for what he did to the characters and storylines.

You’re right! It’s an evil spirit, who’s gleefully chortling at all the nonsense.

When MF detected Trzr’s signals and tried to warn Braces, Braces ignored him (so as to go on explaining his “plan” over and over), so MF is just going to wait till Trzr shows up and then say, “I told you so.”

What’s up with Traze R’s look in the second panel. He started out being the image of Tracy, now he’s able to change his features???
And the “decorations” by the window in the 3rd panel…That’s broken glass.

Traze-R is beginning to look more like Superman, or maybe Bruce Wayne. Personally, I’d prefer a Captain Marvel look.

So how come the robot has a better drawn face than Tracy?

“I CN RIDE IN A CAR LKE A GROWN UP RBT!!!”
Good job Traze-R, I see they make a short bus for robots too. Keep it up and maybe you will solve the crime by next spring.

To me this story is far from funny. Pathetic. Plot full of holes. Characters changing their look panel to panel. It’s time for Mr. Locher to go to the Old Cartoonists Home.
How did they get Robo-Dick down the stairs into the truck?

Hmmm… Didn’t Robo-Dick get into the truck a few weeks ago?

Robo-Tracey may be using vowels, but he can’t spell for beans. Unless when he says “REDY TO GO!” he means that he has changed hues as an indication of preparedness and RED is a sign of action.
