Chester Gould, a veteran cartoonist, began drawing his most legendary character, the dashing and daring Dick Tracy for the newspaper comics page in 1931. Modeled in the image of the innovative Sherlock Holmes, Gould was inspired to create new crime-fighting technology, including the two-way wrist TV, closed circuit TV police line-up and the engineless car that took Dick Tracy to the moon (both literally and figuratively).
Although many remember him with fond nostalgia, Dick Tracy, now written and illustrated by Dick Locher, continues to be relevant as he combines old-fashioned values with 21st century innovation to capture corporate crooks, computer pirates, polluters, skyjackers, gang members and terrorists.

It senses the WHAT, now?
Geez, I think that giant police robot is racist.

I hope they have good medical coverage because Liz(z) needs to have those hands looked at by a medical professional.
I’m guessing that maybe Liz(z) is cold or she just has really bad body language?

Apparently the left side of Captain Liz is deformed now. Robo Tracy make some noise that will give away his position and DT is admitting he needs a BIG CRIME like the one at 7-11 to send out the Robo Tracy,
Oh Brother. Save us all please……

Well, I guess I am happy that Braces and MF took the day off. So it looks like Traze-R has spidey senses, and noisy ones at that. Just another great reason that Traze-R is a hunk of junk. My guess is that before long, this is going to become a contest between Liz and DT to see who can contort their body the most.

I say bring back Junior and Moon Maid!!!
The art in DT seems to get worse by the day & the inane plots move at a glacial pace.
Time for the owners of DT to consider giving Dick Locher his walking papers and hire someone who knows WTF he is doing!

“Danger, Will Robinson! Danger!” …
Now we know where the design came from …

Memory’s a bit fuzzy.. but I think it was better when Mike K. was on board. Having a friend to bounce ideas off can make an interesting stew and there’s built in critic power, in both directions. Might cut down on all the critiquing going on here. Lawsy mercy! That left hand looks like a birth defect.

Milkbot looks like he’s keeping time to music. He must be tuned into the local radio station.

No! No! It’s beerbot. These are the bad guys. Remember?

Actually Robo-Tracy, that’s just indigestion. You forgot about the rule that says you must wait 30 minutes after eating small robots before you can swim or lift cars.
After looking at Liz’s arm, I also have indigestion. When I have indigestion, I pose like this

The robot had a sense of humor and with a foil like Dr. Smith he couldn’t miss.

Maybe the danger Robo-Tracy is sensing is that he knows that the Useless Teevo just finished his Taco Bell lunch and in about an hour things will be taking a turn for the worst at the station?

I was interested in the discussion that all of you were having yesterday about PAYING for the strip.
As somebody who will be launching not ONE, but THREE strips at gocomics.com next year, it saddens me that readers are unwilling to pay for something that they enjoy everyday.
The free-rider problem lives on, once again.

Even prior to being a “paid” member, I don’t recall seeing any of those ads.
Pay for the strip by becoming a member.

Grokenstein:
I cannot MAKE you. You know that.
AND–the “myth” of those ads actually PAYING for the site is LAUGHABLE.
Most of the “free” on-line strips actually make their money from MERCHANDISING. PvP and others make money from the reprinting of their strips and the toys, t-shirts, video games, etc. that are made off of their products.
In the case of ALL the strips here at GOCOMICS, the only way any money is made, is if people sign-up and register and PAY for reading the strips.
