Only because people are ignorant and don’t pay attention to politics. Also they must have extremely short memories, and forget how Demoncrats always raise taxes, kiss up to radical left-wing groups (especially enviro-idiots, abortionists, and homosexuals), and excel at throwing people out of work and causing inflation…

Basically, no matter how bad the GOP gets, you can always rest assured that the Demoncrats will make things even worse…

@Mike: yeah. Too bad too many people are too concerned with health care and America’s standing in the world to care WHAT happens to the Republican party, anymore.

This is a shame, of course, since the Republicans currently serve as a real-time case study in what happens when fringe radicals hijack the party platform.

By 2016, the GOP will only be remembered by trivia buffs, and even then they will be mostly be remembered as… “That ONE party? C’mon! You know… they were famous for being the party that freed the slaves, before Rush Limbaugh (SPIT!) took over?”

“The more a person is informed about events, the more likely that person will vote GOP” How odd… I keep up to date with current events (I’m heading straight from this site to read the news, even, as I do every day) and I vote Democrat.

In fact, I believe there was a study done that stated that viewers of the Daily Show & Colbert Report are far more up-to-date with current news in America and in the world as opposed to those who watch Fox News. The interesting thing: those who watch the first 2 are likely to vote Democrat, while the latter vote Republican.

I’m sure we can both pick random polls that support that the other side is ignorant.

Muchadou stated Since when have gay people been considered a ‘radical left-wing group’?

You can start with the masses of homosexual men marching in gay parades wearing women’s garments.
You can also look at their whole gay agenda:

Homosexual agenda (or gay agenda) is a phrase used by some social conservatives to refer to advocacy of cultural acceptance and normalization of non-heterosexual orientations and relationships.[1] The term is regarded as pejorative by some LGBT organisations.[2] The term is applied to efforts to change government policies and laws on LGBT issues (e.g. same-sex marriage, LGBT adoption, recognizing sexual orientation as a civil rights minority group, LGBT military participation, inclusion of LGBT history and themes in public education) as well as non-governmental campaigns and individual actions which increase visibility and cultural acceptance of LGBT people, relationships, and identities.

Gee, Striper, on the Luckovich 10/23 thread you said you based your hatred of homosexuals on the old testament.

Do you also therefore hate people who work on Sunday, who eat shellfish, get haircuts, and women who wear clothes made of two types of cloth?

  10. striper77

    striper77 said, 24 days ago

    Crunkbut,

That is just the starting point of the whole gay agenda.

You can go to their direct connection with the democrat party, their connection with the NEA to get the acceptance in public schools, their connection with the media and of course since there are numerous homosexuals in the entertainment industry and the arts they have their connection in Hollywood.

The part about the gay parades was an exact words from one of my clients in San Francisco.
I believe the words were, my little daughter said, “Mom why is that man only wearing panties that is sitting a few seats ahead of us on the bus?”.
The mother replied he just came back from one of those gay parades.

As far as the gay agenda goes it started back in the 90’s under Clinton, due to he catered to that crowd. He appointed liberal judges that ruled in their favors and then AT&T, MCI, American Airlines, Kraft, etc. started to have their pink triangles and the rest was history.

    Interesting ‘toon.
While I applaud the idea presented I don’t think its true.
The GOP doesn’t have a charismatic political leader…true. They have charismatic pundits. But that doesn’t make their numbers small or non-existent.

While I live in a liberal area there are republicans and they don’t hide their political affiliation. Its also true that a plurality of voters aren’t with a party here. It *is* true that they openly talk about their party being hijacked by right wing extremists which makes them look bad. But I don’t see the ‘toon scenario becoming true in my lifetime.

Only a lunatic can fail to ignore the existence of two sexes, the manner in which their bodies are designed to fit together, the fact that human life is never formed through homosexual acts, the plethora of diseases created by sodomy, etc and conclude that the behavior is worthy of either defense or celebration.

The average life span of a male homosexual in USA is age 48, according to the CDC. Yeah, let’s all indulge in behaviors which roll back our life-spans to the same rate as they were before all of medical science existsed!

Scott, How do you account for the fact that just three Republican presidents: Reagan, Bush I and Bush II ran up 81% of the U.S. Government debt that was present on the day that Obama took office? (What’s happened since, is a whole ‘nother discussion)

Look at any graph of debt and you will see that it skyrockets during Republican administrations, and levels off during Democratic administrations. (up until now)

And, yes, Congress passes the spending bills, but the Democratic Congress under Reagan actually cut his spending requests, and Bush II had a Republican rubber-stamp Congress when his borrowing to spend made the steepest hike. (Bush II was responsible for more than half the debt)

Seems to me it is easy to pander to people’s short-term keep-me-happy drive, keep taxes low and run up the debt – but hardly responsible or laudatory.

  15. dtroutma

    dtroutma said, 24 days ago

Hey scooter, sodomy doesn’t “create” disease, but does spread it. Sodomy by the way is also heterosexual, not merely a homosexual act. “Transgender” IS a biological anomaly, and not something the person controls. It happens about six weeks into the pregnancy when the fetus goes from ALL OF THEM being FEMALE to an unsuccessful development into either male or female, but with physical traits of both sexes.

Back to the GOP- a declining population with very LARGE megaphones and control of media markets to spread their “message”. Making a duck quack louder doesn’t make more of them, or make them smarter.

  16. scottfreitas

    scottfreitasGenius_badge said, 24 days ago

Until you stop lying vhammon, don’t bother trying to persuade me.

Reagan vetoed entire budgets due to the Demoncrat’s insane spending policies. His policies caused revenues to the Government to more than DOUBLE, yet the Demoncrat’s simply ramped up their spending three-fold, adding to the debt even though the money pouring in would have covered more than twice the spending as when he took office…

CONGRESS SPENDS ALL THE MONEY. I don’t try to deny what a foolish, liberal GOP congress we had from 2002-2006, after Newt Gingrich left. The Conservatives in the GOP were outnumbered 2-1 by the so-called “moderates”, who acted like Demoncrats and voted with many Demoncrats on every spending bill that was passed. So you can fess up to your own bad boys’ behaviors, as well..

Scott, Telling someone that their facts are incorrect is more useful than calling someone a “liar.”

Here’s the debt history by President:
    http://zfacts.com/p/318.html

Here’s the historical presidents budget data:
    http://www.cbo.gov/budget/historical.shtml

Some of Reagan’s “Budget busting” vetoes were not because of the size of the spending (which was sometimes less than Reagan’s budget requests), but because the money was being allocated to social programs instead of to military spending growth. see:
    http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1997/09/22/back.time/

So here’s a list of all his vetoes. Why not do a little homework and review them for us. Tell us where Reagan vetoed the SIZE of government spending:
    http://www.senate.gov/reference/resources/pdf/presvetoes17891988.pdf

I’ll be curious and listening to any correction of my facts.

This is not to say that their needs be ignored, but rather take a book from the Dutch and let the companies come through the front door and let them voice their complaints at the table, instead of letting them buy the voices of those who actually have to make the decisions.

    “Gay agenda”

    • Demanding equal rights under the law is such hogwash. To be treated as a human being, wow! To be able to hold a job without fear of being fired because of who they are, how disgusting! To be able to have the full repository of legal rights and privileges available to those who get married in this country under this government, ugh!?

    • It’s like … why should people who’re born differently be given equal treatment? It was once illegal to marry across your race, we should go back to that, amirite?!

    • I find it very interesting that the current ENDA (Employment Non-Discrimination Act) involves several birth conditions: age, race, disability [sometimes due to choice], gender… but it also includes something that is subject to CHOICE: religion. I can be whatever religion I want to whenever I want to, and I get protections for being that religion. I can even hold meetings with likeminded people and my communities can be tax free. But then I can turn around and demand that another couple of BIRTH conditions: sexual orientation and gender identity, shouldn’t be included on that. Amazing! I can use my CHOICE of religion to be protected from the religious views of others in terms of equality under the law … to deny people who are born a particular way equal rights. I think I’ll be Jewish today: oops, my Christian boss can’t fire me now. Wow, amazing. CHOICE gets protection.

“the fact that human life is never formed through homosexual acts,”

    • Sterile heterosexuals don’t create human life either. But they can use the same methods that gays can use, but that required that ‘evil’ Stem Cell research. I guess if you’re sterile, even if you’re straight, God must’ve hated you.

“the plethora of diseases created by sodomy”

    • What disease has been “created” by sodomy? And plenty of straight people perpetuate STDs.

“and conclude that the behavior is worthy of either defense or celebration.”

    • Because rape, incest, murder, adultury, and theft, all predominantly committed by straight people, are defensible. The divorce rate isn’t a result of homosexuals. They don’t ruin marriage by demanding legal rights. Shouldn’t you focus your attention on the removal of prenuptial agreements, no-fault divorces, and gold digging? You’re so caught up in that gay agenda.

“before all of medical science existsed!”

    • Medical science is ‘evil.’ You should live as God intended. If you get sick and die it’s because God wanted you to. Don’t go to the Doctor, you’re defying God and allowing your body to be tainted.

“Uh-oh. Unfortunate collision brewing. Scott (and/or Striper) vs facts”

    • That’s never stopped right-wing lunatics before. Facts are just these things put there by God to test our faith. Ignore them and trust your gut.

Sorry Stan/Striper/Eagle, lemme address your concerns:

“You really know that your wife was a mail in order bride.”

No, she came over to the US with her family when Saigon fell. No mail involved. BTW, why is you think the term “mail order bride” insulting? Do you have some warped biblical reason for hating them like you do gays, Striper?

“As far as college goes you know after you got kicked out of the military, you then failed out of college. ”

No, college was before the military. And I left the latter after the Gulf War. The pay in private practice was just too much of a lure, especially since it didn’t involve leaving my fledgling family. And although for the most part the Navy was good to me, I will indeed admit that I didn’t enjoy war. Especially ground combat.

“You thought having homosexual experiences with the professor would save your grades, but it did not.”

You are correct; none of my grades were based on experiences with a homosexual professor.

“Even your homosexual lover let you down.”

Wrong again; I’ve never been let down by a homosexual lover. Heterosexual, yes, but not homosexual.

“Are you going to respond or try to get out of your drag queen outfit?”

Since even if the latter were a possibility you wouldn’t be around to see it, I’m going with the former.

“I know you are a sorry person and the only thing you do is beat your pud all day on your computer.”

Since you “know” this, is it worth me denying it? You be sure and let me know.

    “Dirt bag”

Okay, now I know you’re just making things up, because my bag is not dirty.

“Is your past coming back to haunt you?”

    No, haven’t noticed that.

“You are always running your mouth and harassing the people whom post conservative news.”

No, I only call on people like Striper, Puppy and Scott when they post lies to either back up their claims, or retract them. Since you and Stan don’t seem to offer any comments on the issue at hand, but only make mindless ad hominem attacks, you’ll note that I’ve rarely “harassed” you at all.

“All they are doing is trying to show some truth to all the liberal lies on this site. ”

On the contrary, I have yet to see you post anything about the issues.

“What is it you said to that other person?”

    You don’t know?

“Anthony what does it feel like running with a tail between your legs?’

You’d have to ask Striper. Gee, come to think of it, that’s quite a coincidence, you asking that question.

    “Everyone is watching?”

    Yup, they are.

“Or is it true Anthony that you are just a coward and a dragon queen?”

    Nope, sorry, not true.

“I would not be surprised if you and your buddies have flagged all the posts,”

Doubt that would have much effect. Although, one would wonder why you’d make all these posts, Striper77, expecting them to be flagged…unless they’re just throw-away accounts you created at the same time as yours…how many did you make? Are you trying to beat Puppy’s record for the most accounts by a single person?

    “called the police”

    For what?

“and are hiding in your momma’s basement right now.”

Sorry, being in California, my mother didn’t have a basement. Plus, she’s dead.

So, Striper, now that all your questions have been answered (or at least those by accounts created the same time as yours, who directly quote posts directed at you), perhaps you’ll answer some directed at you? Especially since they pertain to the issues, and not your personal life?

For instance, Striper, are you angry that smallpox was eradicated by vaccinations? How many people died from those vaccinations?

    • Maybe they have liberal views. Imagine that, people having a consistent viewpoint. Doesn’t seem to stop the conservatives from “everything is bad except what I decree is good” approach.

    “homosexual community / perverted community”

    • The vast majority of perverts are straight.

“approve of those lifestyles. They are 100% fine with the homosexual community”

    • Homosexuality is as much a ‘lifestyle’ as being born Black is. Lifestyle implies choice. Religion is a lifestyle. Except a lot of it seems to be people saying they’re religious, picking a group to hate, and then failing to live up to the lifestyle they claim that everyone else should.

“lower life perverts such as child molesters and people having sex with animals are getting special protection.”

    • No, they don’t. AND such people are predominantly straight.

“They do not care how much Obama spends”

    • It’s NOT okay to spend a trillion dollars trying to fix our country and promote infrastructure building.

    • It IS okay to waste a trillion dollars on a poorly planned war that’s cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocents as a knee-jerk reaction to a homeland attack.

“They are always getting caught having sex with children and they belong to the NEA”

    • And they’re straight.

“The scum of the earth gets upset about a few profanity words (which is the liberals primary language) but they are fine with the 25 million babies that have been murdered through abortion”

    • Life is precious until AFTER you’re born, then the conservative / Republican view is “we don’t give a crap.” “These people need food and shelter and health insurance.” “Not on my dollar,” says the Republicans, “they should pull themselves up by their bootstraps.” “These children need parents,” say the people. “Not any gays or other people I don’t like,” say the Republicans. “But who will parent these kids?” “It’s better they not have parents than they learn about that ‘gay agenda.’” Because plenty of straight, Christian families have had gay children, and there’re plenty of gay families who have had straight children. Ignore facts though, that’s what Conservatives do.

“That is an example of the blood that all the liberals out their and everyone that votes democrat. The blood of all the babies is on them.”

    • So the blood of the children in the other countries caused by the cowboy approach of “shoot shoot and shoot some more” + “if you’re not with us you’re against us” that has us losing many men and women in uniform, civilian lives being lost, and doctors getting shot in churches simply because they have done what they were asked to do. There’s plenty of blood to go around. As people in Africa die every day from starvation and AIDS, there’s plenty of Conservative blame for “let’s teach them abstinence only” instead of providing them contraceptives. Again, ignoring the facts.

    • When a family in Iraq gets raped and murdered because we hired a firm that is buddy-buddy with Dick Cheney and they felt like going on a rampage, that blood’s on someone’s hands.

You honestly need to stop throwing stones, your house is made of some very fragile glass and I see a lot of cracks in it. Stop wearing your faith on your sleeve and practice what you preach. Leave judgment to God, because it is not for you to judge others. It is for you to live by your faith and to share your faith with others. You share only your hate.

Oh, and Obama is very religious. There’s just this thing in place called a “Separation of Church and State.” He knows how to keep his faith, for the most part, separate from the laws he signs and advocates. The radical Right could learn a thing or two from that.

Stan Collins: I do not associate with the liberals on these pages; neither do I share their views. I am apolitical; I have no interest in the sociopolitical arguments offered here from either perspective.

I simply point out that you are a filthy-mouthed child. Your presence is not appreciated.

Wonder if Stan goes by his real name?

    That would be embarassing.

Perhaps it was a mistake to flag those posts. Better to leave them there as a linkable example of Striper/Stan/Eagle’s true nature.

I worry for anyone in Striper/Stan’s area of physical influence.

    Seriously. He is a lunatic.

Interesting cut-n-paste. Where’d you get it from, Striper?

Oh, dang, I forgot…when asked about your wild-ass claims, you just run away with your tail between your legs.

By the way, quoting some poetry that keeps repeating “It means war” after the devastating Bush years just makes you look even more stupid, if that’s possible.
