Go ahead and drill those current leases. Instead it’s a last ditch smash and grab by the oil companies to get what they can before W goes into retirement.

Drilling more only retards the inevitable. We ARE addicted to oil, what will we do when the last drop of it has been burnt? we have to find other sources of energy.

I’m not so sure we’d ever make it to the last drop in the fashion we are doing it now. We’d kill the planet before then. I mean check out what China’s having to do in Beijing just to make the Olympic Games visible.
