Deep Cover’s unique style of provocative political satire has won it a loyal following. Using an unusual mini-movie storytelling format, recovering lawyer Tim Eagan punctures pompous personalities, deflates bloviators, and attempts to shine light where it is most needed. This outrageous strip appears in mainstream and alternative West Coast papers and has been described as "Tom the Dancing Bug meets Ted Rall."

And 30-bullet magazines don’t kill people. And hollow-point bullets don’t kill people. They are both part of our sacred, holy 2nd Amendment rights. They are both in the Constitution, right?

Fine, let’s put armed guards in all schools. Question: Where is the GOP gonna let us get the taxes from to pay for them?

At least with a knife or an ax it is much harder to get at as many people and be able to kill them.

Have we noticed how readily some (mostly right wing) folks rely on insulting language and argumentum ad hominem attacks rather than reason and logic when confronted with points of view other than their own? Perhaps they dimly realize that they cannot refute the need to remove firearms from a culture for it to evolve into a truly civilized and educated society. We should have outgrown the archaic 2nd Amendment long ago.

We just need closer adherence to the “well regulated militia” part. Own a gun, you’re in the militia; commit a crime with it, trial by court martial.

I don’t have an answer but it seems , to me anyway, that there is little’ if any’ justification for ownership of assault rifles by private individuals. Maybe it would help to have combat weapons made illegal.? Less temptation to see how they would work on crowds.

Alcoholic Beverages are made for only one purpose, and that is to kill people.
Time to ban the manufacture, distribution, and selling of all Alcoholic Beverages as this would eliminate people from driving drunk

I don’t usually comment on this type of threads but I will this once – Thomas Jefferson remarked that only a well-armed populace can keep government in check; look at the freedoms that have already eroded. The problem is not the guns themselves but the ready access by dysfunctional people.
Myself, I would like to see legislation passed that required any family that had a member in therapy or mental medication to remove their firearms to a police locker where they would stay until the person was released from treatment. It’s far from perfect but it would be a start…
