   The reality is that the US government is bankrupt (financially and for the most part morally as well…).

   We are all going to have to get used to paying more and/or getting less. For those that can pay taxes it means paying more. For those 47% that get government subsidies it means getting less. There really is no other way to fix it.

   One example:

   Not the 47% that sunk Romney but 47M people on foodstamps and that’s a 47% increase since Obama took office.

   We have gone from about 1.5% of people on foodstamps in 1969 to 15% of people on foodstamps in 2012 about a 10 fold increase percentwise.

   Or put another way in just 43 years we have increased the number of people on foodstamps by about 44M people about 1M per year — except that in just the last four years Obama has increased it by 15.2M people! You can click on the headline to read the whole article.

   Record Number of Americans On Foodstamps
   November 23, 2012

   An analysis by Breitbart News has found that the number of individuals on food stamps now exceeds the combined populations of 24 states and the District of Columbia. In November, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reported that a record 47,102,780 individuals receive food stamps. Since January 2009, the number of individuals on food stamps has skyrocketed from 31.9 million to the current record high 47.1 million. By comparison, in 1969 just 2.8 million Americans received food stamps

    I will point out I distinguish between liberals and Leftists. I consider the liberals wrong but I can accept their honest intentions. Think Hubert Humphrey or Arlen Spector. But the true Leftist is a hater, a nihilist, and deserves no forgiveness. Think Michael Moore or half the commentators on MSNBC.
    

    
    Liberals are usually patriotic though oblivious to the conflict between their politics and America’s founding ideals; the true leftist may feign love for America (like Obama does) but at root despises American ideals. So where do you fit in?

    Well Obama probably but not me. But then Obama, Bush, Reagan, Romney etc all add theirs to that destruction. More so in the Republican than Democratic party.

    Class envy as a promoted tactic is at the root of many liberal agendas. Is it not somewhat strange that if you work hard, save, prudently invest and build something out of your own sweat and effort — and in so doing amass some wealth — you are considered to be an evil exploiter.

    But if you drop out of school, have a few illegitimate kids, smoke pot, watch TV all day and basically waste your life that you are elevated to status of “victim” and in so doing should be taken care of for life. Well as one of the ant’s I’m getting tired of not only having to take care of the grasshoppers but being villified while doing it.

    Guess what we are all rich in the US. We have relative freedom and security, we have access to decent health care, we can voice our opinions, we can worship as we choose etc.

    Go to globalrichlist.com and you will discover that even our poorest in the US are in the top 20% if not top 10% of all the people on earth today. If you look at all of history even our poorest are living in the top 1% of human history. Get real.
