Well if you paint anyone as a GOD and they don’t deliver you’ll know that a Neocon will be elected next year.

The Nobel prize has become a Joke. Giving it to this phony is the final degradition. He is all blow and no go.

Fidel Castro recently praised Obama’s Nobel award.

Congratulations Republicans once again you have been able to use a small thing to destract everyone from the real problems.
Yes it is silly that Obama got the award, but he has admited he is somewhat embarrassed by it, so let’s get back to the real issues.
You know if it was Bush he would accept it, and the Republicans would crow about it.

Yes, because Bush would have deserved it, for keeping us safe for 8 years since 9/11

Correction, OS, Bush “kept us safe” for 7 years, but he was in office for 8. 9/11 itself was his own chickens roosting.
fennec said, about 1 month ago
“Keeping us safe” is not justification for a world-wide Peace prize. And it certainly was not done with actions that promoted peace. Please try at least to see beyond your own “me and mine” group and recognize the intrinsic humanity of other groups.

We’ve been hearing SOUR GRAPES from the right ever since they gave him the stupid thing.
GET OVER IT!

The first honest thing you’ve said in a while “… they gave him the stupid thing”.

Obama does promote hope, he did not promote himself for the Nobel. Perhaps the committee which is free of our petty politics sees something noble in the pursuit of hope from a worldwide platform.

If the Nobel Committee were allowed to dictate foreign policy, the world map would look quite different. The US might not even be on it. They, like many libs, equate peace with the temporary absence of a shooting war. It isn’t. Why should we care what they think of US foreign policy?

DrCanuck is aghast: What the heck kind of alternate reality is THIS? Why would they want to? Who would “allow” them? Good grief!

I’m not a Dittohead anymore (I used to slobber when Rush spoke, but then I woke up) but I listen once in a while out of curiosity.
I think that Rush nailed it when he said that the Nobel Peace Prize was given to pressure Obama into leaving Afghanistan, that is, it is the world’s way of expressing displeasure with America constantly invading other countries.
Bush could have done Afghanistan correctly, but he screwed the pooch so bad by invading Iraq that there is no way now we can win in Afghanistan. Let’s get out and figure out how to defend our country from foreign invaders.
