I am just wondering where all those loons went that were shouting W was Hitler? I mean the news people surly saw them but never made them center stage.
And I don’t have to keep saying it but I will, Hitler is a very poor chose. It should be Stalin or some other USSR guy with all the czars Obama has appointed.
Right on, Barney. (And thanks for chiming in, harley.)
As for comparing Dubya to Hitler, Ted Rall pretty well nailed that one. Going from memory: “Stop Comparing Bush to Hitler!”
Hitler was democratically elected
Hitler was a decorated combat veteran
Hitler won most of his battles the first five years
I hope we’ve heard the last of this.

Republicans - all they ever think about is sex - eg: abortions, gays, come in to every issue no matter how far out. Yet aren’t they the ones who preach morality and family values yet they commit adultery, have abortions, are pro war, and pro gun BUT don’t want health care for poor people. How many will give up their Social Security and Medicare and VA care WHICH are government run programs?
This portion of the Death Camps tour looks at the history of holocaust. By comparing Germany’s Nazi holocaust and America’s abortion holocaust you’ll see there is practically no difference between the mindset of holocaust then and now. As with slavery in early America, killing Jews in Nazi Germany, or killing babies in America today – just because something is legal does not make it right. So how do you get a country to allow humans to be treated worse than animals? You use euphemisms to convince people that these actions are justifiable, or even beneficial.
Abortion advocates and America’s largest Death Camp operator, Planned Parenthood, have elevated the dehumanization of holocaust victims to an art form with their ‘pro-choice’ rhetoric. But those who side with the pro-choice crowd may be shocked by the racial slurs and elitist ideals of Planned Parenthood’s celebrated founder, Margaret Sanger. As you’ll see, her words and goals bear an eerie similarity to the words and ideas of the Nazis. Let’s begin by looking at the famous Nazi Death Camp doctor who graduated from killing Jews to killing babies.
http://www.ldi.org/DeathCamps/Holocaust1.cfm#TheTop
Of course Republicans get abortions too. Let me ask you a question. Did Hitler personally kill all 10 million of his victims? Of course not! But he WAS responsible and is rightly blamed and cursed because he put in place the policies and plans that led to their destruction. It’s the exact same thing with Abortion/Demoncrats.
Glad to see the right wing loonies get some press time getting dressed down. provides a little chuckle relief for those of us having tos surpress the urge to strangle the next kook informing us about the death camps, the birth certificate conspiracy, the secret manchurian connection… whatever else they are screaming mad about teabaggers.
@ Redeemd: no, it is not the same thing. Nazi Germany (and for that matter Imperial Japan, Stalin’s USSR, Mao’s China, Pol Pot’s Cambodia) had planned, premeditated policies to physically eliminate certain elements. These were, effectively, state-run and mandated killings.
Even if you believe abortion is murder (which is your right), there is a significant difference. The state does not make abortions mandatory. It does not put women in abortion camps where their babies are killed. These women choose to have them. The doctors choose to perform them. The state simply does not outlaw it. Abortions are done by the people, of the people, and for the people. Distasteful, perhaps, but true.
You want to decrease abortions? Start with the people; abortions existed even while illegal. Sexual education, contraception, and better conditions for young/single mothers would all reduce abortion.
I’m 72 and my grandmother and great grandmother were midwives. Abortion was illegal BUT it still went on and many, many women died or were mutilated. Even when I was a teenager I lost two friends who had illegal abortions and also two later on from full term wanted pregnancies. Men need to leave these decisions to a woman and her doctor at least until they can physically give birth.
You want to stop abortions - more sex education and birth control. Unfortunately those against abortion are also against both. If you are so pro-life why aren’t you fighting against wars, and taking care of children already here - starving in this country and other countries. You don’t care about people only getting into women’s bodies.

I am amazed that most of the liberals on this site such as you are the age you are and still feels the same. I have read some of the other comments or skimmed over them. Most of you even have some health issues and are approaching the end of your life.
I was reviewing some statistics yesterday. It stated 1 out 4 females from 14 - 17 has STDS. I was trying to find the breakdown of the participants in abortion. Last week I found a complete breakdown of all walks of life participating in the slaughter of the most innocent of human life. However I found one article. It was on the African American community. I am not trying to pick on them but the article states 2 of 5 pregnancies in the African American Community ends in abortion. It also had all the deaths from 1973 - 2001. In the breakdown it had right at 300,000 due from crime and 300,000 from accident. The abortion in that time table was over 11 million. It also went into people having multiple abortions.
From the statistics is obvious people are using abortion as a birth control measure.
You spoke about birth control and sexual education at the schools. The schools have taught this for as long time. It was taught when I was in school. When Clinton was President he expanded it and put tons of money in it. We are seeing the results as stated as above. Not only are the schools pushing sex on demand they are also pushing the homosexuality lifestyle. Your idea of putting more money in a failed system, is dull and void. They are already doing it.
You also spoke about starving children in this country and overseas. The # 1 supporter of this is the Christian community. The less supportive of this is the liberals. You can start with Obama he gave away 1% of his large income. You then look at Bush it was well over 10%.
You then spoke about War. War is only needed to protect the country. Our elected officials approved of the war. Both democrat and republican. The democrats is ruling the nest in Washington and we are still their and we had the deadliest month ever since Obama has been in control.
By the way last night when I put my four year old daughter to bed. I was brushing her hair out of her face. I thought why in the world would anyone want to murder a child through abortion.
“When Clinton was President he expanded it and put tons of money in it. We are seeing the results as stated as above.”
Care to elaborate, stripper? What you say here makes no sense. How exactly are you measuring the effects of Clinton’s policies? You speak of 14-17 year olds; they must have been what, 7-8 year old during the Clinton administration, and obviously were unaffected by anything taught in sex ed classes then. Have abortions increased during the Clinton administration? No, they have not - and arguably they have gone down faster than during Bush Jr.’s term.
As for your claims regarding who did the most for starving children, I have not seen sources backing it up. I have heard rumors that Bush donated more than previous presidents, but that’s all. On the other hand, I remember that one of the very few vetoes he ever imposed was on a bill that would have provided insurance for children. As for stats on which charities gave the most for poverty programs - possible, but again, I could find nothing on the issue.
4uk4ata said: “You want to decrease abortions? Sexual education, contraception, and better conditions for young/single mothers would all reduce abortion.”
DrCanuck responds: But we can’t DO that. Then people might be enjoying sex without being punished for it!
@Striper77 - the statistics you quote are growing and are primarily the result of 8 years of “abstinence only” indoctrination by an ideologically rigid administration. If you truly care about life outside the womb, get behind proper education; proper access to health care; support for those horrible people at Planned Parenthood, who are often the ONLY people that are there for a pregnant teen, working desperately to find ways to prevent abortion.
Oh, wait. One of the rabid right might call that “socialism”. We can’t have that. Sorry, kid.
Sex can and is enjoyable. But the two parties need to understand one or both of the following can happen:
Pregnancy and / or STD’s.
The proper education, media and others have gotten us into the problem we are in today.
Health care is available for all kids if their parents are under a certain pay group. For instance AL may be $40,000 or less and all the kids are completely covered. I am sure NY or CA is a lot more due to the cost of living in those states.
@striper - “Planned Parenthood’s first choice is abortion.”
??? Are you ###ing kidding me? Looking at your list - -
You live in a very scary world, don’t you? Do you ever leave your house? Or do you just keep adding tin foil around the cracks, to keep the aliens from reading your thoughts?
I take it you have never looked into what planned parenthood does. Abortion is always their first choice.
I will make it easy on you. Google search planned parenthood abortion has over 2 million web sites. Read the first few, then us you imagination and find millions more on it.
I give up with trying to reach striper through sweet reason. The strip will give you the same talking points in a zillion posts. The only little humanity you injected was the sentence about your child. Point is we are not talking about women who are wanting a child, we are talking about women who are desperate to not be pregnant.
Just to show you how flawed your reasoning is, lets change it from a baby inside the womb to one just born:
a few reasons someone might kill a healthy, vibrant 1 month old baby:
-he is the result of incest.
-34 year old poor mother already having a desperate time raising 3 kids and too poor to feed him
-44 year old has a heart condition and the extra stress may kill her
-he is the result of rape
No one but a monster without conscience would say these are valid reasons to take a life.
In all these cases, the child would eagerly be adopted by thousands of infertile couples yearning for the opportunity to be a parent and love this child.
First, I have heard the story of people “using abortion as birth control”, and I’m rather dubious on the issue. Yes, abortion is a form of birth control, but I doubt if anyone relies solely on it unless they are either a) completely ignorant of any form of BC, b) have no other option available or c) were too drunk/high/whatever to use any other method. If we can work on these three, we can reduce abortion to a minimum. Simply making it illegal won’t help any more than prohibition helped alcoholism.
Second, as for that NEA bit - or rather, the opinion of a conservative movement on the NEA (the two need not necessarily coincide). I do not know enough about all of these, but some I take issue with:
“Federal, state and local hate crimes legislation” - excuse me, just how has the NEA did anything there? Or are we counting teaching about the Holocaust or the Civil Rights movement as this?
“Student access to teaching about the use of birth control” - see above. If students knew more about birth control chances are they’d use it when they had to, and we wouldn’t have all those teen pregnancies/abortions.
“Federal childcare birth through age eight” - I am offended they even list that. A lot of kids lack proper childcare, and these guys are against providing it to them?
“Free access of children to all media and material, including internet pornography and age-inappropriate printed material” - you have got to be kidding me. Please show me a link where the NEA supported allowing children to have access to anything, including internet porn. Venus of Milo does not count.
“United Nations, including the ratification of the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child” - and this tops it. Just what is wrong with the UN CRC anyway? The fact that it would outlaw sentencing juveniles to death? As if it weren’t absurd enough, the SC already ruled against that. I can understand being opposed to this or that, but some of the anti-UN stance is xenophobic bias of the worst order.
A lot of this anti-abortion, killing babies in the womb talk is a smokescreen for white supremest people who are virulantly anti-Obama because he is of mixed race. I really believe they are throwing this up because a bi-racial man actually got elected President. This has energized the militant white supremists, according to the Southern Poverty Law Alliance I’m not saying those that are anti-choice are always racists but there are many who are using this issue as a smokescreen.
“Planned Parenthood believes that all people deserve access to birth control and other preventive health care, including breast and cervical cancer screenings, and testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections. In fact, more than 90 percent of what Planned Parenthood health centers do is preventive and primary health care, helping women and families make responsible decisions about their sexual and reproductive health, their lives, and their futures
Today, one in four women who receives contraceptive care does so at a women’s health center. One in six women who obtains a Pap test or a pelvic exam does so at a women’s health center, as do one-third of women who receive counseling, testing, or treatment for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV. This basic health care is essential, particularly during difficult economic times, to give women the tools they need to protect and support themselves and their families.
Only by working hand-in-hand with national, state, and local leaders can we implement commonsense measures that will prevent unintended pregnancy and ensure affordable access to contraception and other preventive care.
Planned Parenthood is committed to ensuring that no woman has to wonder how she’ll afford her next birth control pack, Pap test, or sexually transmitted infection test.”
Here’s what you’re so afraid of Striper: A woman being able to obtain care, counseling, assistance from someone who isn’t her husband, father, brother, or uncle. A woman being entitled to decide for herself how she’s going to live her life. I guess that really is scary…..to you. Poor you.

The only little humanity you injected was the sentence about your child. Point is we are not talking about women who are wanting a child, we are talking about women who are desperate to not be pregnant.

McGreen,
Just to show you how flawed your reasoning is, lets change it from a baby inside the womb to one just born:
a few reasons someone might kill a healthy, vibrant 1 month old baby:
-he is the result of incest.
-34 year old poor mother already having a desperate time raising 3 kids and too poor to feed him
-44 year old has a heart condition and the extra stress may kill her
-he is the result of rape
No one but a monster without conscience would say these are valid reasons to take a life.
In all these cases, the child would eagerly be adopted by thousands of infertile couples yearning for the opportunity to be a parent and love this child.

@ Stripper: a few comments.

From Planned Parenthood’s website:
Poor you.
