I’m sure they miss the days when Henry Ford had the power to get the National Guard to fire on the striking workers…

Hooray for Horsey for being one of the few not to blame it all on the UAW.

Actually its quite good. Just because I loath unions does not exclude my anger at the excessive compensation of exec’s. IF congress loans them the money they should set the pay scale. I mean Socialism is socialism Right?

So is it socialism when the bank that gives your business a loan dictates what salaries will be paid to which employees? You can always turn the loan down.

We’ve been down this road before, during the late 70’s to early 80’s. Management blamed union workers for poor workmanship and crappy cars. Years later I saw a former auto exec on TV admit that high oil prices and a late response to them by auto execs was the problem. People started buying foreign, auto companies couldn’t design good small cars fast enough and execs slashed workers so much that they couldn’t keep up production without quality problems. Again, this was admitted by management.
