Behold, an un-pale horse with no name. Oh, wait. His name is Horace. And he's sarcastic. And silly. And lives in an infinitely expandable world. And sometimes gets slapstuck. And day after unpredictable day he boldly goes where no horse -- let alone a comic strip -- has gone before. Yes, there are sidekicks; a bird, a lady horse, a never-seen neighbor. And if the post-it note did not exist, Samson would have had to invent it so Horace would have yellow panels in which to play. Welcome to the bright side of the world. May the horse be with you.

2 heaping table spoons per six ounces of water?? That’s some seriously dark coffee.

If you want a fantastic cup of coffee, get yourself a coffee press.

Sorry, not interested; I’m a tea drinker. Happy new year anyway! And thanks for the great cartoons!.
Now I’m off to the kitchen to brew a nice cup of Pluteanium…

A fellow I knew in college had gotten into the habit in the military of making coffee “1:1 coffee and water”. One day he made coffee for his unit in Germany. The CO left standing orders for him never to make the coffee.
.
In a class called “Geology of the Wild Rogue River” where we hiked 42 miles through the trail section of the Rogue River with geology professors, (Dothan sandstone’s the only unit I remember now), one of the things I remember was him taking a large cup-sized coffee press, filling it with grounds, then pouring water over it. He offered a tsp of it. Being half asleep I accepted. That tsp was enough to wake me up…

It would be hard to heat water to 205 here. The boiling point where I’m sitting is supposedly 205.551 degrees…

Too funny – I really just came home from Caribou Coffee with a nice hot mocha – I won’t drink home brewed “normal” coffee.

Truly, the best recipes are the ones where someone else makes it for you.
