    @coraryan

    How? By ensuring you have health insurance?

    Or are still just trying to keep Sarah Palin’s “death panel” myth alive. Hint: It’s 2013…give it up.

    But no perinatal care for mom, or health care for the child. Nice.

    With politicians like Cruz, it is obvious this country will never join the first world.

    I’d love to see your sources with these “facts”, Magnaut…and see you contrast it with similar mechanisms that have been used by the health insurance companies for decades.

    Palin, in her continuing effort to obfuscate, could just as easily have called them “life panels”. Wonder why she didn’t?

    Or she could just have easily taken a mature, rational approach, and talked about ways to allocate limited health care resources. Wonder why she didn’t?

    Because neither approach would win her favor with her ignorant supporters.

    I guess you are enjoying Republicans trying to shut down the government, and destroying America’s credit rating, and what’s left of the economy. All over universal health care for our citizens that Republicans ignored for the twenty years they ran the government during the lat twentyeight!

    @ahab

    I enjoy certain Republicans having principles, especially in areas where Democrats have none, like the deficit, the economy, and a health care policy that they know in their heart is a catastrophe.

    As far as Republicans controlling government for 20 of the past 28 years, you don’t know what you’re talking about. Democrats have controlled the Senate 16 of the past 32 years, Republcans 14 years and it was split 50/50 for 2 years. On the House side, Democrats and Republicans have each had control for 16 years of the past 32. (includes the current Congress). Or don’t you believe in separation of power?

    The point is, Palin and her “ignorant” supporters were right, and Howard Dean (inadvertently) agreed with her.

    You said Palin’s “death panels” were a myth. I posited the Howard Dean recently said the same thing. You changed the subject, not me.
