Too bad we all have to live with it and not just the ones that voted for him.

There’s a reason Tim Geithner bailed on O. It’s time to pay the piper.

Is that the fiscal cliff that the Republicans demanded?
-
The first job for Obama is to make sure everyone knows this is something Republicans demanded.
-
If we go over the cliff, Congress can then lower taxes from where they will be at that time. Unless, of course, republicans demand that wealthy taxpayers get huge cuts.

Boehner is right there beside Obama. Unless Boehner decides to grow a pair, and get enough sane Republicans to vote for a compromise that includes increased revenues from those best able to afford it, we’re going to have to take the leap.

He should do what the Hulk did to Loki in the “Avengers” movie:
-
“WHAM! WHAM-WHAM! {Pause} WHAM-WHAM-WHAM-WHAM!”
-
To which Loki responded “whiiiiineee…”
-
Have a cliff-clock installed in the Oval Office. Get on TV every night in front of that clock and tell the people “No law on my desk today from Congress. That’s all folks”. Be cool, calm, collected. Explain to the American people – again – that Congress holds the purse-strings and that Speaker Bohner and Minority-Leader Pelosi have to work it out before you even get involved (by signing a law).
-
Explain that the Senate has to sign on as well and that any delay on that side will be the undoing of that law. It has to be signed by midnight, December 31st, 2012 or it is useless. And every day that passes without it the economy is a bit more in trouble. Tell the people you understand that, but that it’s not your task – as stated in the Constitution – to initiate fiscal laws. Only the House can do that.
-
If they delay, make them pay. Mention the word “recall election” once in a while. They will answer with “Impeachment”. Reply with “Let’s have it. Are you feeling lucky, punk?”…

A mandatory cut of $1.2 trillion in the $3.8 trillion Federal budget, or 32%. Oh wait, that’s over 10 years, so $120 billion, or 3%.
If it were really going to happen, defence contractors would have to lay people off on 2 Jan ‘13, and, by law, they’d have to send out layoff notices no later than 2 Nov ‘12, notices that did NOT go out.
So the lemmings have been unconditionally guaranteed that they’ll all be provided with parachutes.

The stock market dropping by half, the unemployment doubling, higher taxes on us left working to support those that voted for O. The good news is that winters are reported to be warmer! Good thing because O is going to bankrupt anyone using coal.

If I were O, I think I’d take a couple of steps back from the edge, let my heart rate return to normal, and then figure out a route around the precipice.

The Republicans KNOW they have overstepped the line. NOW they are ready to work with President Obama

The good news is you don’t have to bring in a new President up to speed on the fiscal cliff crisis. Boehner is now willing to raise revenues in addition to any cuts agreed to by the Democrats. I’m cautiously optimistic we can avoid the worst of any fallout from the fiscal crisis.

Perhaps the big “0” can get the press to help him since they worked so tirelessly to get him re-elected.
