easy, why didn’t YOU prevent 9/11? What
is your solution, “nuke em all”? Criticizing
someone is easy, offering an alternative is
hard…

Bruce, they have already attacked continental
Europe (Spain) and England (which, BTW
is also part of Europe, look at a map). The difference
is that we didn’t flip out. It is their STRATEGY
to make us flip out and then destroy ourselves
in endless wars and missions. It’s just the
Americans who didn’t understand that. Read
a book about insurgency (for example
“Total Resistance” by Major H. von Dach or
“The Little Red Book” by Mao Zedong) and
you will learn how to beat a much bigger foe.
Look at the history of the Nam war and see
that it works. You can pound your chest all
day long, it won’t change the fact that terror
and insurgency are the most effective ways
of fighting, bang-for-buck wise…

As for suggestions: I don’t have one! Not on
this issue, but so does nobody else. If I had
I would tell you. The only idea I have is to get
out in order to rob them of targets and to seal

and getting on everybody’s nerves
- worldwide – would be good too. Every
president said the U.S. doesn’t want to be
the world’s police. Well, then act accordingly!
Move all your troops back to the “homeland”,
end your carrier-group-terror, stop opening
KFC’s in Moscow and STFU in general! Since
WW2 you have been a bully, and a bad one
at that, the last war you won before Iraq was
effing GRENADA!!!

Yeh, how’s that working out for you? (yes I know that the little islands off the coast are part of the whole). I don’t care what their strategy is as long as it stays in your lap.
And I agree, we should close every last base in Europe. Think what THAT would do for your economy. Think it would help?
And Grenada? Shoot we don’t care how small you are, if you ask for help we try to give it.

The only defense from fanaticism and extremism is education and respect. It is not an immediate cure, and takes decades, even centuries to get results. The hardest part is to set an example others find worthy of following, especially if it goes against culture or paradigm. In the 1980’s, maybe 90’s, a man went to Africa to teach modern green farming techniques to improve crop yields. He spent over a year trying to teach them, but they just politely listened and ignored him. He then bought a piece of land and put his words to work. His first year’s results piqued the interest of his neighbors, his second year made them students. There will always be people to whom truths, facts, and respectful words will never mean anything…just read some of the people who post on gocomics…but over time, with patience, respect, and when needed, we can change the hearts of most peoples. It starts by changing ourselves. May the God of Abraham, my invisible friend, watch over and bless this young woman. We need people like her in this world.
