No, we’ve run out of time. Maybe, MAYBE, if we stay there for 10 - 15 years, remove all of the corrupt (which means all of them) leaders, defeat the warlords as well as the Tailban, basicly rebuild the country, send 1/2 million troops, spend millions and millions of dollars, and stay put until the end, then we can win, but first we have to define what “winning” is.

As with Vietnam, politics will decide everything, and with the Republicans crowing over a couple elections the Democrats won’t have the courage to do the right thing and pull out.

I remember when Karzai was hailed as a hero in this country. What a difference a few years make. Let’s get out of there. Please.

The Taliban were also “heroes” when WE created them, to avoid handing things over to the warlords. Hmmm that really worked out.

How can we even refer to time? We’re in the 21st century and they’re in the 13th.

If winning involves spending billions of dollars (if not trillions) and thousands of lives, not fighting might be even better.
