Is the conclusion Mr Wasserman seems to draw here, that the US is being played by the devilishly clever Pakistanis the only one, or the lonly reasonable one, to be drawn from the situation he describes ? Isn’t it possible that Uncle Sam knows very well what is going on, but connives at it for reasons of his own ?…
